Amazing product, worked fast, painless! Highly recommended!
Phenomenal product, stopped a thumb nail cut from an angle grinder in 90 seconds! I had to remove the photo, it was apparently too graphic for Amazon . I was wearing heavy leather gloves and safety glasses trimming a broken 6 inch schedule 40 pipe with a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder. The blade bound up for a second and then released right over my thumb. It would not stop bleeding. I washed it vigorously with soap and water and held a sterile pad on it for 5 minutes with a lot of pressure and it kept bleeding because I hit the vascular nail bed. I bought Bleedstop months ago for the shop and I was really happy I had it available. Bleedstop looks like white flour but it has incredible utility for cuts. I packed it into the wound and within 90 seconds, zero bleeding. I put a bandaid on it overnight. I removed the bandaid the following AM, washed the cut again with soap, water and Betadine. No blood. I added a bit more Bleedstop and a new bandage. Amazing product, must have for any shop, kitchen or general emergency blood loss situation.

Must-Have for Any IFAK
You need these in your IFAK. They’re affordable and work really well for small to moderately sized cuts and gashes. They help stop bleeding quickly and are easy to apply, which makes a big difference in situations where you need fast action. It’s one of those items you hope you don’t need, but you’re glad to have when you do. They’re compact, lightweight, and easy to carry, so there’s really no reason not to keep a few on hand. Overall, cheap, effective, and a smart addition to any first aid kit.

BleedStop... stops bleeding. Yep.
Works well. Packets are intended for major bleeding, and they're ridiculously expensive for what is essentially clay. This makes it annoying when you have to waste a packet on a smaller cut that doesn't want to stop bleeding. You can just use a little of it but then, of course, the remainder is no longer sterile. I keep a packet resealed with electrical tape to shake on minor stuff (e.g., dog accidentally bonked me with his head while were playing & split my lip t'other day) & keep the other packets in the trauma kit for actual injuries, where sterility is a bigger deal.

After using this, I was VERY happy I had bought it...
I was a sceptic, but it works great. I sliced my thumb open when a glass that I was holding broke. Of course, it was Thanksgiving day. Options were a hospital emergency room ($$$) or nothing. I couldn't get the bleeding to stop. I was getting ready to bite the bullet and go to the emergency room when I remember that I had bought this product several months ago and threw it in the trunk of my car. The cut was bad enough that I didn't sprinkle the product on my thumb, but instead, I opened the bag and stuck my thumb in the pouch and then just held the pouch tight around my thumb. The bleeding was completely stopped in a couple of minutes. Just leave the Bleed Stop in the wound. It does not stop it from healing. I washed off the excess the next day. No doubt my thumb needed stitches, but not at what an emergency room would cost. Great product and preforms exactly as advertised. Definitely a must have in any first aid kit and especially when hiking.

Amazing! Dont know why no one ever told us about this stuff. Great to have on hand. Forgot i bought it and hubby cut his toe and there it was front and center in medicine cabinet. Stopped the bleeding immediately. Was sure we were headed to the er. Hes on blood thinners and it always a mess when he cuts himself. Half the time he doesnt know hes cut himself until we see a blood trail.

Real world test
Used this on my dogs leg after he was hit by a pickup truck pulling a trailer. The wheel well on the trailer caught his lower leg, cutting it open, causing a pretty steady bleed. I don’t believe it was arterial. I used this in conjunction with an emergency bandage tied tightly around the wound. When my interventions were removed at the vet, you could clearly see where the powder did its job, congealed the blood, and worked flawlessly.

Amazing and potentially life-saving product
* BleedStop First Aid Powder comes in four separate and secure pouches and in a box. Unfortunately, the box arrived crushed in a shipping bag. However, being that Amazon is environmentally-conscious, and likely due to unanimous feedback, they now take much greater care so as to prevent this. * Unlike styptic pencils, other brands and older variations, BleedStop does not sting! * It works very well for nosebleeds (dab powder directly on the broken vessel with finger, if possible) Although, BleedStop also comes in strips, specifically for this purpose * It has a very impressive expiry date! I purchased a box in December 2024 and its expiry date is August 2030 (I doubt it gets better than this) * It is FDA cleared as a hemostatic powder and is approved for moderate to severe bleeding, including nosebleeds. It is also cleared as safe to leave in the wound and for use by those on blood thinners, or who experience prolonged bleeding * It states that it's non-cauterizing, non-stinging, hypoallergenic, and safe to use on children and sensitive areas * It is made from a proprietary, plant-based formula to accelerate clot formation Caveat: It is not approved for severe arterial bleeding, therefore; in cases as these, it's essential to seek emergency medical care by either calling 911 or attending an ER, immediately! * It's easy to use.... just pour powder on the wound, cover with a gauze dressing or bandage and apply firm pressure * This product is well worth having in your first-aid kit. You never know ... when keeping one or two of these large pouches in your car, purse and/or camping gear, it could potentially save a life. * It is used in both hospitals and by paramedics I can't imagine ever regretting the purchase of this product; especially at the excellent price Amazon offered it, during one of its sales. I wish I knew of it sooner.
