i want to make saddlebags for my aussie saddle. i was wondering what kind of sewing machine or machine needles people were using to sew this material?

I have a heavy duty home use Janome sewing machine. It can sew through five layers of heavy material. I use a jeans needle for heavy sewing.

Does this fabric block light? i need total blackout.

I used this fabric to cover up a window on my truck bed camper tent. It blocks out light very well even in the daytime. I dont know how it will hold up to the sun though after some time.

can I use this for sublimation?
