Compared to plastic ones of this style, the lines are thinner. They look elegant and hold hair well, but they are of course slightly heavier than most hair clips due to the material. They also are a bit pokier at the ends when you first put them in. I get headaches very easily, so I did schedule a return since the extra weight will just be a no-go for me.
