Professional car audio installer 25 years Boomer mcloud These speakers were surprisingly excellent. Reminds of the MA audio Highly recommended. Normal I would only recommend JL audio w3 But for the price these rockville subs are certainly worth the price. I would also recommend their amplifiers.

They hit
I have been bumping 2 of them k9 10s in a 4th order box on 6000rms wolfram amp for 3.5 years and finally just cooked 1 of the voice coils everyone that hears them this they are 4-12s or so I will be buying again!

hard to believe that much sound can come from a 10" sub
been installed more than a month now and pounding the car silly, i get comments saying i have other subs hiding, it hard to believe the base this provides from a 10" sub woofer!

Worth the price
This subwoofer (10" K9 series) has truly blown me away! I usually dont write reviews but I wanted to add some clarity to the product reviews. I kept reading reviews like "Best cheap subwoofer out there" which didn't give me a good understanding of this sub. So far in the last few years I started with a 10" sub with a box from auto zone which was weak and distorted at high volume. Then I switched to a pyle 12" and after I blew that I got a kicker comp series 12" all of which were cheaper than this sub by a fair amount. The kicker was a very good sub IF you want outrageous amounts of bass. What I mean by that is that the bass would constantly overtop the treble. I like bass but it should be balanced out with the music. This K9 series I went with the 10" to try to fix that issue and it certainly did. The bass this sub produces is very clean and crisp. When I listen to rap it can still shake the hell out of the car, but it can also do those quick kicks to the chest. So overall the performance is outstanding. I believe the people that are saying this is the best cheap sub are refering to the quality of the sound it produces which cannot be replicated by cheaper subs. The build quality of this sub is also outstanding, it is a truly heavy duty sub.
