Papo Germanic Knight Toy Figurine, Multicolored (39936)

Great details! My boys loved this! Honestly I was surprised by the quality because of the price. They are high quality knights!

This knight has an amazing amount of detail. The armor is early to mid-14th century and pretty accurate. The "houndskull" helmet has a visor that can be opened or closed, revealing a well done facial sculpture. The knight wields a Venetian style poleaxe with hammer, axe, and spike. It even has the langets common to the weapon. This fellow is designed to be afoot, not for being astride the Papo horses. The sword and dagger came bent, but a minute or so under a hair dryer made them pliable and easily straightened them. Holding it in cold water set them and now they're fine. This knight was originally copyrighted 2002 which accounts for the great quality which is sadly lacking in the later offerings. Their figures are still pretty good, but not up to the standards of the older offerings.

The toy knight was to be added to not only my Christmas display, but also for Christianity values.

Really high quality. I wish they were a bit cheaper or sold in a pack.

This is not life sized. This is good. A life sized figure like this would be very hard to move around the house if you have furniture. We’re getting a chair soon, so I don’t even know where we’d put something like this if it were the size of an adult human in armor.
