are the pins on this longer than your standard slicker brush?

Hi! Yes, they are longer than a typical slicker. It works pretty good on my Great Pyrenees. If a products works on him then I’m a fan.

would you recommend x long soft pins or hard pins for a medium goldendoodle who hates to be brushed?

My Bernese Mountain Dog is occasionally fussy about brushing and the long soft pins work great with his heavy double coat. It’s smooth and shiny when we’re done and I’m amazed at the difference between the areas he lets me brush and the areas we didn’t. Hope that helps!

Is there any way to get the hair out of this without using a comb? A comb might bend the bristles.

Some hair gets compacted in brush and I am usually able to take out in one piece. If a few hairs are left behind I use my metal dog comb to clean the hair in the brush. The bristles do not get bent.

can someone recommend which brush would be better for my 11 pound shih tzu please?

Believe me, I have gorgeous Shih Tzu in long coat with the worst coat ever! She's so soft and mats so easily, She is 2 yrs now. I use Chris brushes usually but when I added a slicker to the menu, my life got so much easier! I use the pin brush first in layers, then the slicker and finish with the wide tooth comb. Good for cavapoo fur

This is great for my cavapoo's curly hair, which is a bit overlong at the moment. The brush is quite big, so can be a bit difficult between the legs on very small dogs. Ideally I need to get the same, but smaller. Good long pins, which work well to untangle hair before it gets too matted. I'd say it pulls on the hair too much to work on an established matt, especially in sensitive areas.

Apres trés peu de brossage sur mon spitz loup(chien a poil long) le caoutchouc qui tient les piques de la brosse sort de son contour en fer , donc arrêt du brossage , dommage car la longueur des piques sont ideal pour un poil long 14€ a la poubelle
