VERONESE Lord Nataraja Dancing Shiva Statue Real Bronze Powder Cast (10, 1,2-inch)

Better than expected! After ordering I found some people saying it's made of plastic so had some second thoughts. It doesn't feel like this at all. It is not hot cast metal though so it is not going to be as sturdy i.e. handle with care. The trade-off seams to be: sturdiness/level of details. If you want your statue to be very detailed at the expense of sturdiness, it is the right choice. Otherwise buy a statue made of hot cast metal instead.

I couldn't wait until I received my Shiva Nataraja statue & when I received it, it certainly did not disappoint! First, I have to compliment the seller for taking such care to package the statue in such a way that the package could've been tossed across the room & the statue wouldn't have been damaged. Second, is the statue itself. It is simply beautiful, as I indicated in the subject of this review. The quality is great, and I love the hand painting on some of the accent elements of the piece. Also included with the statue is a description of the meaning behind the statue itself, as well as the meaning of the ring that surrounds Shiva & some of the elements of the piece such as the drum Shiva beats in his right hand, the vertical eye on his forehead, etc. I'm very glad this info was included with the statue, as every time I look at the statue I'm reminded Lord Shiva is dancing on the demon of ignorance to liberate the minds of the people; I'm reminded that as Nataraja, Shiva brings a cycle to an end so another can begin, which is very meaningful for me at this point in my life. If you're looking for a new piece to add to your collection, I definitely recommend this Lord Nataraja dancing Shiva statue.
