These are by far the best toning conditioners/masks I’ve used. They are very pigmented and will turn your hair purple/blueish if left on too long. I’m between a level 7-9 (more 7-8 underneath and 8-9 on top) I use the silver ash under neath and the pearl blonde on top. I left them on for a few minutes, since I don’t consider my hair very porous and it’s quite stubborn with color, but they turned my hair purple/silver. No big deal, I washed with Ion clarifying shampoo twice quick and the over pigment came out and the tone came out perfect. Next time I used them, I left them on for 30 seconds to 1 minute. I found my happy spot. I use them 2-3x a week, depending on how bold of a color boost I’m in the mood for. These are so easy to play with, if you over do it just use a clarifying shampoo, if you under do it just redo quick. No need to get out of the shower and towel dry your hair, put the mask on, wait and wait, then shower again, etc etc. They also make my hair feel so conditioned and soft. I don’t heat style my hair very often and I’ve only highlighted/bleached a few times within the past few years so I’m not sure about how they help with more damaged hair, and I use other deep conditioners for that.
