Im building a small media room in my new house. Im covering all the walls ceiling and floor with acoustic panel, wall fabric, carpet and or sound absorbing foam. The only items that will reflect light are the actual recessed ceiling lights. They are white and so my journey to fix that began. I looked online and the selection didnt look much more exotic than my local walmart and auto store, so in this instance I just shopped local. I picked up all 3 flatish black paints found between 2 stores. 1. KRYLON All in one Matte Black 2. Rust-Oleum Acrylic Enamel 2x Coverage Paint and primer Auto Grade Flat Black 3. Rust-Oleum Camoflage 2x Ultra cover Ultraflat black I took a piece of plywood and lightly sprayed 3 sections of it, waited a day, then sprayed another light coat. You can see the results in the pictures I uploaded. I took the pictures with the plywood laying in the sun and with the flash on my phone. The matte black reflected the most light, the Acrylic flat the second most and the camoflage ultra flat didnt reflect any light. Now you could read the front of the cans and say, yeah that sounds about right. After performing the tests I feel a bit stupid buying all 3 cans. But I found truth in advertising generally isnt a thing. So verification is usually neccesary. Regardless, I wasted $20, but found the black spray paint that will work best in my media room.

I recently used this spray paint to update some old flower pots. It went on so smoothly. The sheen is superb! It's not too shiny, but shiny enough to look brand new. Love it!

This is the only spray paint I use. The krylon spray paints are great.
