I left the brown backing paper on the areas I didnt want to stick. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad at all *by T***R on March 13, 2022* I used it in the dishwasher compartment to help reduce the notice level since my dishwasher is very loud. The noise level went down to about 50%, which is not bad at all. It was easy to install. Not sure why others complained about how once it sticks it is hard to peel off to adjust. Maybe cause after reading the comments I stapled most of it and only pealed the back paper around the edges which worked out very well.
