Works very well, but needs much better instructions
I have an ASUS laptop that shorted out where the power supply plugs in. I got this external charger to see if I could charge the battery and use the laptop. It works beautifully... once you figure out how it's supposed to work. The instructions are clear, but far from complete. The issues are:- The plug into the battery has a rubber tab that prevents it from being plugged in properly (see photo). The instructions to not say anything about this. I eventually cut the rubber tab off and the plug worked fine.- The plug has text on it that says "Face Up." The instructions to not say what this means. I eventually got the plug to work by having the text oriented towards what would be the bottom of the laptop if the battery were plugged in.- The charger's lights did not come on the first time I used it. As far as I could tell, this was because the laptop's battery had been completely discharged. I say this because the lights did eventually come on after I left the battery charging for a while. The instructions say nothing about this.To counter the issues with the instructions, one thing I can't say enough good stuff about is the charge indicator. If you unplug the charger from the wall and have it plugged into the battery, the charger's lights gives you an indication of how much charge is left on your battery.

Works well
The charger comes with detailed instructions and is easy to use. It feels a bit flimsy, but it works well. There is a red light to let you know when the battery is charging. This is an external battery charger that allows you to charge the battery when it is not in the laptop. It's useful if you have two batteries and want to charge one while using the other.

Did not fit
Bought this to charge my batteries for the Asus N53SV. It would not fit because of a piece that is over the prongs that insert into the battery. The rubber piece inhibits the prongs to be pushed into the battery but if you cut the rubber piece off as suggested by the seller it would fit. I didn't do it and sent it back.

works well
Charger performed well, but was a little slow. It charged a batery that hasn't been charged in over a month, and the battery lasted the expected amount of time. Though it did take 2 1/2 hours to get it fully charged. The battery still takes the full 2 1/2 hours to charge after a full drain.
