Holds the monitor rock solid and stable. **Q: Will this work fine and hold with lg cx48? moving it around would that be an issue?** A: I don't know the weight of LG CX48 so cant directly answer - However I had my Alienware curved AW3418 DW weighing 7.27 Kg on the Ergotron and it was fine and moved around very well. However when I upgraded to the Samsung 49" Odyssey Ultra Curved monitor this was too much for the Ergoton to handle. Although the weight was within spec the overhang with the massive 1000R curve made it too heavy. **Q: Does your desk have to be solid to use this vesa mount with the Samsung 49inch ?** A: I have it setup with the G9 Odyssey 49. You will need the Ergotron heavy-duty tilt pivot (part number: 98-540-216) to support the forward weight of the screen (due to its 1000R curvature). Re the desk, I’ve sandwiched a piece of hard wood between the desk and the arm’s fixtures for extra support (I’m using IKEA’s BEKANT desk). I hope you find this useful. **Q: Will this hold the Samsung Odyssey G9?** A: It will only hold it if you purchase the HX heavy duty tilt pivot with it. Once you get that replace it with the one that comes with the arm. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't be like me *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 6 April 2023* I have the Samsung G9 and cheaped out on a monitor arm the first time around. It just couldn't hold the monitors weight and constantly tilted down and took forever to get back into the exact perfect spot to stay up again. This one however holds it up without an struggle. You can tell it's much higher quality and very robust. The springs in it are HUGE and well greased. The cable routing has reusable velcro style loops which I really like.It was also very easy to mount to monitor onto as a single person. You attach a backplate to the vesa mount on the monitor and then the backplate slides into the monitor arm.If you've ever tried to hold a 12kg monitor up to a hole and screw it in at the same time you know the pain lol. You don't have to do that with this oneIt is quite expensive. You can get a monitor arm for £50 but it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as this one ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Beast *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 December 2023* What can I say, soon found out what I was paying for. Having bought a different so called heavy duty arm for My Samsung CRG9 that failed miserably when it came to adjusting tilt because it just could not take the weight.I opted to take the plunge and buy the Ergotron HX HD. This arm is a monster so much so I have not really had to adjust anything due to the strength of this arm. It's extremely well built solid cast metal, and not flimsy like some of the other arms on the market, it is also straight forward to assemble.I highly recommended this arm if you have a heavy Ultrawide screen monitor, your jaw will drop if you have had other arms previously when you first take it out of its packaging. 5* all round from Me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Supports 49inch monitor perfectly *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 February 2023* This is an awesome monitor arm I've used others in the past but this one was by far the best. It supports my Samsung 49-inch CRG9 and I can rotate and adjust the monitor to the height I need it to be whether I am working or gaming. The monitor feels secure on the mount and the arm adjustment is not at its max setting so I'm sure it can handle additional weight.Ergotron has been a great company to use and I will not be buying any other brand of stand in the future. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ergotron – HX HD Premium Heavy Duty Gaming Monitor Arm, Single Monitor Desk Mount – for 1000R Curved Ultrawide Monitors Up to 49 Inches, 28 to 42 lbs, VESA 75x75mm or 100x100mm – HD Pivot, Matte Black - Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED (G93SC) Series Curved Gaming Monitor w QD-OLED, 240Hz, 0.03ms, DQHD, G-Sync Compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro,Height Adjustable Stand,3 Yr Warranty,LS49CG932SNXZA --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/335935332-hx-hd-premium-heavy-duty-gaming-monitor-arm-single-monitor](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/335935332-hx-hd-premium-heavy-duty-gaming-monitor-arm-single-monitor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
