PF838CS 3.74" D2 steel flipper folding knives outdoor pocket knife G10+Carbon fiber handle camping hunting EDC tool

This was my first PF knife have gotten several since. PF great company making g quality knives with quality materials at an affordable price. I’m a big knife guy so that’s what jumped out first 3.8” D2 satin blade came very sharp out the box love the G10 texturing on the handle, good ergos, and really good action. With the flipper tab. Flys out smooth. Built very robust great fit & finish would be a good hard use knife. Nice little carbon fiber around the pivot deep carry pocket clip but not reversible. Nice knife with a great price, can’t beat it.

This Knife is a nice one for the price. I own plenty of somewhat expensive knives and for what this cost I could give these as gifts to my friends. The fit and finish is very nice. The blade is centered, No Lock rock, the blade has nice flat grind. The liner lock is easy to get to and works like it should. The deep pocket clip is well located. The flipper tab has nice gipping on it. The detent is very nice allowing a positive flipping action. This knife is good size the has fairly thick handle to it to fill my hands, very nicely it's not thin one like others out there. This will make a great working knife, with no hot spots from the belt clip. The blade is nice and thick great for tough work; I would not worry about prying things open with this one. The blade design is straight forward no curve to the blade shape. No sharp edges except where they are supposed to be. The scales are super nice and well fitting. The opening is very snappy, and fall shut when closing. This knife should last you years. Glad I bought it.

This is my first Petrified Fish knife. I had heard the name mentioned by a lot of people so I decided to try one out For the price, I was very impressed! Feels great in the hand, the action is extremely smooth and quick, Lock up is secure and I really like the size and style. Razor sharp right out of the box. Normally, when I get a new knife, the first thing I do is touch up the edge, but this one didn’t need it. I was so happy with it that I immediately ordered a second one as a spare.The only thing I which was different is that I wish it had screw holes in the other side of the handle to make the pocket clip ambidextrous. Other than that, I’m very happy with it.

I was drawn to this knife because of the blade’s beautiful lines: one of the best looking knives out there. Build quality is very good and the blade deploys swiftly and smoothly. The carbon fiber inlay looks incredible. Seems pretty sharp. Just know that It is a chunky thing to carry around in your pocket. An amazing value at the price. Definitely among the favorites in my collection.

I bought this knife because I like longer blade knives. Some reviewers have described this knife as robust and pretty; it is! This knife can substitute as a fixed blade knife. It's finished like a presentation knife but it says to me, "I'm a work knife. I mean business!" It's very comfortable in the hand. The scales are grippy. The knife won't roll in your hand. It opens and closes with ease with one hand. The blade spine is thick and square. This is good because if you need to use it with a fire starter, it will create a spark to keep you warm. I almost returned this knife because it's a bit heavy but it's such a finely made tool! I'll be well-equipped with bear spray and this knife when hiking the Montana mountains.

Look again at the price......they are low balling their own selves hereI work at a major southeastern grocery chain where shopping is a pleasure.This knife is in &out of my pocket 200+ times a day, 5 days a week and hasn't failed me once. It's larger than my usual routine carry pieces but it's not unbearable.Rather light considering it's blade length and material.Pocket clip is stellar!Lockbar action and release is so incredibly liquid smooth. I mean it is my favorite lockbar knife out of likely 40+ now.D2 has some markings from exposure to chemicals used to clean my work area but c'est la vie. It's still wildly sharp.*UPDATE* :::: Bought another one, the all black CF. Got it "used". Well insure can't tell. Razor sharp, perfectly aligned. Detents are exactly like the new one purchased prior. I mean this QC is stellar in terms of overseas knives. I'm now at 4 out of 4 perfect PF knives. Two used, two new, cannot tell a difference.

Wow. This knife means business! Unbelievable quality. Beautiful heft and feel. With a gorgeously finished super sharp blade, polished frame edges and G10/CF scales this is a serious value! When flipped open the sound it makes......oh my, so smooth, it is addictive!Love it!

This is my first Petrified Fish knife. I've bought at least 15 other Chinese knives in the last couple months. Ganzo, Sitivien, QSP, CJRB, and Adimanti. All have been very good quality!What's there to say about this knife? Fit and finish is perfect. Lockup is perfect. Centering is perfect. Blade drop is perfect. Fits in my hand perfect. Balance is perfect. And the flipper is the best I've experienced. It's perfect right out of the box. No break in or tuning necessary!I got the black G10 with the CF insert and it is absolutely beautiful. Better than I even expected. I don't like the look of the colored inserts but this CF is amazing.The knife is on the bigger side and weighs 5.8 ounces. I was wanting to add a bigger knife to my collection and this is perfect.I have a Spyderco PM3 with fit and finish problems, terrible blade centering, and terrible balance. If it can sell for $150, then this knife should easily be $200. I have a Swiss made Victorinox with the same issues. Absolutely crazy this knife costs $35.I will not be buying anymore overpriced American or European made knives. I've always tried to support our American manufacturers but when it comes to these folding knives, China is going to put the American knife manufacturers out of business. The price vs. quality is just off the charts. Come on Spyderco, Benchmade, and others...up your game!Great job Petrified Fish. Keep up the good work!Edit: Oh, and I REALLY like the fact that Petrified Fish kept the writing on the blade to a minimum. It says "D2" on one side of the flipper tab and "838" on the other side. Small, discreet, and to a minimum. Love it.

Buen cuchillo, por el precio solía preferir Gerber, pero los materiales y el acero son de Gran calidad, el filo de fábrica es bueno, falta ver que tanto dura, es muy cómoda y el peso es a mi gusto adecuado.
