Here's the good and the bad about these steadtler thick pencils.The good.It is thick and triangular, so helps with the pincer grip. The lead is thick and dark so the kid has confidence in pressing down and writing dark. The exterior has a matte finish so it doesn't slip down the fingers while writing. All in all the perfectly designed pencil to start off kids for writing or help those kids with writing issues.The bad.It is expensive. And if you look past the price for the functionality , you are stuck with blunt tip thats not possible to sharpen in school. No fat sharpener was able to sharpener this pencil owing to the triangular shape. So I had to use blade/box cutter to sharpener. I cannot hand this blade to the kid for sharpening at school, so his pencil gets blunt in the first period itself.For making this pencil- habit sustainable steadler has to give a sharpening solution.. triangular pencil specific sharpener.Because of this obstacle I will not be buying a new pack , though I am the target audience for this product.Hope the company takes this feedback and gives a sharpener and eraser with the pencils.

I have bought several kinds of pencils but these is better than any other. The lead is sturdy, won’t brake and help my child write ✍️ firmly.

Perfect for my 5yo in preparation for Kindergarten. High quality products. Rubbers are a bit on the small side.
