I accidentally melted the twisting bit of mine in the dishwasher.** A: I have many different Keep Cups and the 8 oz size and 12 0z size lids are interchangable. I am not sure about the thermal, because mine dripped coffee - it did not seal properly - and it would drip on my clothes when traveling so I got rid of the thermal cup. **Q: Is this microwave safe?** A: This is the stainless steel version and would not be safe for use in a microwave. **Q: How long does this keep your drink warm** A: I did a short test using my 12oz Thermal, filled the cup with water heated to 163°F/72.8°C, then put on the lid and started waiting. After 10 minutes it had cooled down to 154°F/67.8°C, 20 minutes 149°F/65°C, 30 minutes 146°F/63.3°C. This cup would likely not be my first choice if I wanted my drink to stay hot as long as possible (I would instead recommend like a thicker double-walled vessel with screw-on lid, for example, a Zojirushi, Yeti, or Tiger thermos). While I do generally prefer the KeepCup's drinking experience over a more traditional thermos, there is a trade-off in heat retention. I think it is also worth mentioning that James Hoffmann did a similar test in his "The Best Reusable Coffee Cups - 2019 Edition" video on YT, at the 2:54 mark there is a chart of detailing insulation results for the various cups tested, including a 6oz KeepCup Thermal.
