Sturdy and functional, but roof was very messy (stones kept falling off, box was full of them) and sharp in some areas, it cut my finger

We are looking after a stray cat with a view of bringing him into our home. We got this to keep him and warm. It is really good quality, easy to build and much better value for money than the fabric alternatives. It is off the ground and the lid is well felted for protecting. The small porch attachment keeps the entrance dry in wet weather. It took a while for the cat to adopt it but now he has taken to it and realises it keeps him dry and warm. Highly recommended.

I have bought this for a stray cat to keep him dry and warm during the colder months, as my cat is so territorial she wont let him stay in the house. It was really easy to build on my own and I bought him a fluffy blanket for inside. Its been raining quite alot and its lovley and dry. As people have mentioned there is a chemical smell to the product, but I did not find it overwhelming. Great purchase, im very happy.

It looks very smart, it was simple to put together, it seems sturdy enough. However, the wood is very lightweight and the screws simply flew in without the need to pre-drill (there were pre-drilled holes on the outside of the frames, you just needed to match the pieces and start screwing). It felt like going into balsa wood so my main concern is how long it will last after being outside in the rain. To help as much as possible I'm going to prime, undercoat n then give it 2 coats of gloss (satinwood) paint. Wasn't work i was wanting to do. Someone previously posted a review saying the wood support to hold the roof up wasnt in the box. It isn't a loose piece in the box, it's already pre-fixed to one of the side panels. Hopefully theirs was there too and they've found it now.
