This little chunk of fountain pen joy is a pleasure to use. This pen is an "eyedropper" style and it holds a ton of ink. The cap doesn't post, but I don't post my pens anyway, so I don't regard this as a drawback. I purchased the extra-fine nib. It is a little scratchy, but I actually like the feedback while I am writing. The pen needs a "practice swipe" to get the ink flowing if it hasn't been used for a day, but once the ink gets to the end of nib, there are no skips or problems with the ink flow. The nib is gold and silver toned, with attractive engraving. I smile the whole time I am writing with this little Majohn Q1. Now I want one in clear acrylic! Then I will want the tortise shell version.
