Authentic Grilluminator BBQ Grill Light-Ultra Bright Handle Mount LE, Black

I received my Grilluminator Grill Light on time and in perfect condition. I love my new toy! We have a large patio behind our house with a porch light that is very dim. But even if that light were amped up, it still wasn't enough to see what I was grilling. And since we almost always grill at night, late, I couldn't see what I was doing. Tried flashlights, another grill light which promptly melted, floodlights that unfortunately point in the wrong direction, etc. All to no avail. That is, until the Grilluminator arrived! NOW I CAN SEE!! It is just perfect and I love it. I have a fairly new gas grill that gets VERY hot when preheating (over 600 degrees), so I don't put the light on until the preheating is over and I am ready to grill. The perfect answer to my problem and it is so very bright that it almost is like grilling in sunlight! Thank you for such an innovative, bright, easy-to-turn-on, easy to install and remove product. And thanks, too, for the batteries, the key chain screwdriver set (useful for so many other things as well) and the nifty bottle opener -- nice touch. Love you Boys at Grillin' and Chillin',

We just recently got a new grill and so I thought I'd surprise my DH with this grill light (although watching him grill with a flashlight clamped between his teeth was quite amusing :)This one seemed to get the best reviews and I liked the lifetime warranty, so why not.Turns out this really is a great light, it fits on our Weber grill handle just fine, we don't even have to remove it for to put the cover on. It lights up the whole grill perfectly and the fact that the switch is actually a touch switch is a great idea!!! just a simple tap turns it off and on, easy to do with one finger, no need to grab ahold of the light and "push" a switch.But one of the things I really loved about the light was the packaging, now while that might not seem like a big deal, when you get the light READ the box. These guys obviously like to have fun and enjoy what they do, sounds like a great company to work for and support.

I'm fairly satisfied with this light. Overall it works close to how it was advertised but does come up short in a couple of spots. If you cook outside in the winter in higher latitudes where it gets dark early (like me), this will help but it's not a perfect product... especially if your grill is on the larger end. I'll get straight to the pros and cons:Pros:- It's bright enough to really help show you what you're doing- The attachment point allows for fairly small grill handles which had been a problem in past purchases of other lights, this one gets it right.- For small to medium grills, this will probably provide all the light you need.- The touch sensor for the light turns on really easily.Cons:- If your grill is deep or you have a round smoker... the arm on the light isn't long enough to illuminate the back 5-7 inches of the grill. You can see in the attached picture how there are a lot of dark spots.- Once you anchor the light to the handle, it only swivels up and down, so you can't aim left or right.- it won't light up all of a large grill... it covers a lot but because of the prior two items, it leaves areas dimly lit.. not a deal breaker as I usually move things around but it's reality.- The touch sensor turns on REALLY easily. I'm constantly having to turn it back off because my hand brushed it inadvertently.

This really is a strong light and well suited for it's purpose. With our design of bar-b-que, we have to raise the light up and down in order to miss contact with the control knobs every time we open and close the grill top. Although the product claims to be weather resistant, we have been cautious enough to remove it when the meal is done. Therefore I cannot speak to that mfg claim. The on/off button is quite nice as it only requires a touch as opposed to depressing a button which could be a source of water intrusion. It's not more convenient but increases the belief that it may actually be weather resistant over all.Shipping was fast and the product was well packaged. I would buy this light again.

I want to like this more than three stars' worth. The lamp is obviously made with passion by its company -- but it has some frustrating characteristics. Pros: very bright light, and very broad dispersion -- it'll light up the whole grill surface even on a large grill. It's also very easy to turn on and off; no physical switch -- just a spot on the case where you touch it to toggle on/off. (For my tastes, this on/off touch is a bit too sensitive; brushing it lightly with one's hand is enough to put it on or off when you didn't mean to). The issues: mounting it to my grill handle is impractical, as it requires position adjustment every time you open the lid (this may be particular to my grill - a big, old Vermont Castings unit). And since it's not really waterproof, you need to remove it from the grill handle every time you quit grilling for the day. Now I love the light itself, so I fashioned an oddball solution. I had a failed grill lamp from another company with a long twistable gooseneck on hefty magnetic feet. I took the old lamp off with boilt cutters, and mounted this grill light on the end of the gooseneck. This lets me position it for the evening in just one spot (open and close the grill lid without disturbing the lamp), and just yank the thing off when I'm done, to store it under the grill and out of the rain. In this configuration, I give it 4.5 stars -- it's just that I had to build it.
