Sarge Angler's Edge 5-Piece Fillet Knife Fishing Set, 440 Stainless Steel

We went on a family fishing trip and nobody had a decent knife to filet our catches. I ordered this as a gift for my fisherwoman sister-in-law. The knives were perfecting fileting out her fish and there was very little waste compared to the previous catch. The cutting board and convenient carrying case make this easy to pack with all the other fishing gear. My husband had me order a kit for him.

Knives are GREAT. Sharp, sturdy, good grips. Awesome value

Looks like a nice set haven't used yet. Slightly difficult to put knives back into holders after you take them out. The plastic inside is soft.

I gave this as a gift to my avid fishermen father for Christmas, and he really liked them! The knives came sharp as heck and the case with the mini cutting board is perfect for throwing in his truck and using on the fly. Unfortunately, you do get what you pay for and they are a little cheap, when the filet knife is bent, it doesn't completely come back to shape like a good quality one would. BUT, I bought the kit as an "emergency" fish cleaning set so it is awesome for what it is intended for and my father agrees.

Super sharp and everything you need to clean and fillet your fish. Very durable and the case makes it very easy to pack up and take along on trips/camping, etc. The cutting board is very handy b/c I was actually filleting fish on top of my cooler, which hacked it up over time, not to mention, it's gross. These really stay sharp for a long time and have not rusted at all. Very pleased with this purchase.

Bought as a gift for my fisher brother to keep in his trunk. It doesn't have a big footprint, and doesn't get in the way of anything. He's very pleased. Quality is fine.

They needed sharpening when they arrived. I used them in salt water for two weeks rinsing them after every use. Each knife developed significant rust. Other stainless knives and tools on the trip were fine. So I doubt these are actually made from stainless. I have added two photos. One to show the rust and a second to show the chunks missing from the blade. These have had very little use. I guess 440 stainless means junk for this brand.

Please remember these are not $100 knives here. They are tools with a purpose that you can throw in your truck or boat when done. 2 years later get another set. For the price you can't go wrong. If you want to prevent rust just spray with pam and a quick wipe down. Cuts small fish with ease. Sharpen before use.

worked good for the a few fish .. dulls fast seriously if you don't want to buy something else in the near future invest in a high quality knife set...
