I bought this to slice our cheese. We always buy wheels and this is top drawer. Like a knife through butter! One could use it on about anything. I cut lemons for use making lemon water. Always was afraid of cutting up large fruit with a regular knife. Could never get a clean, line cut and always worried about breaking the knife. I really never intended to use this as a cheese knife. I love to bake and this knife is perfect for evenly cutting bar cookies, brownies, foccacia, etc. It's terrific for that. I'll try it on melons this summer!
