They are plastic obviously and can scratch, but what I liked that you can’t tell until you try them on, the do a good job of blocking glare from the top of the frames, ie you don’t have to also have a hat when looking into the sun. Very few glasses do this for me. 2) the strap can be cinched down when you need to tighten the fit for more extreme activity. Then if you do lose them, it’s not a big deal at this price. Also the lenses are nice and clear (and polarized), and also dark enough for direct sun. Review: Great performance and a low price - Bought two sets of these for a trip to BSA Seabase in the Keys. One set came with a scratch which was promptly replaced. Three of us wore them for the entire week on a barrier island and there are no scratches on the lenses (we did not baby them either).
