Use caution when installing as mix will come out the edges & stick to roller. Use metal tape to seal edges. **Q: does the entire floor needs to covered for this to be effective** A: It deadens vibration in the panel. It doesn't block noise.it works like putting your finger on a bells to stop the ringing. The bell can still make noise when it is hit. Just just make one "thunk" instead of resonating for while. You really only need to cover 25% of a flat surface to get a good effect. Bends are much stronger than flat surfaces. It's isn't as pretty as a fully covered surface but it is much cheaper and just as effective. I did it to my 2010 370z which are very loud due to a lack of deadening from the factory for weight purposes. I covered 25% of all the flat surfaces and it was a much more pleasant interior. Once panels are back on nobody can tell anyway. **Q: what is the foil thickness of this product?** A: I measured it. The foil itself is .006 thick, but it's bonded tightly to the actual sound deadening "mastic", so it's a moot point. No way to separate the two components without destroying both.
