*****Give the mattress at least 24 hours to inflate properly before using it.*****I've had this particular mattress in a twin and a full and it's the best sleep I've ever had. I am 115 lbs and 5' 5", a side sleeper, and for my weight, the 8" mattress is perfect thickness. If you are heavier, then you should definitely go to the 10" or 12"- I would suggest every increase in 30 pounds, increase 2" on thickness.With this mattress, it is critical to use it on the correct foundation. The foundation MUST be flat, continuous and solid- like the floor. If you buy a platform bed with slats for this mattress, it will NOT work properly. It is meant to go on a solid, flat continuous foundation. The mattress will magnify the slats on your body, and you won't sleep comfortably. There will just be this odd pressure that you don't know where it's coming from. When i bought my mattress, I had it on the floor for 3 weeks before my platform bed with slats was delivered. I had perfect sleep until I put it on the platform bed.My suggestion:Either buy a platform bed with the plywood base included instead of slats or....if you buy a platform bed with slats, you will need to modify the slats and put a 1/2" to 3/4" birch plywood or oak plywood over top the slats. NOT MDF. If you have to modify for a Full to King size mattress, make sure the seam of separate pieces of plywood run "head to foot" and not "side to side". If you HAVE to run a piece or two side to side, make sure the seams of the two pieces of plywood lands directly over and runs along the middle of the slat. (because if it doesn't, then when you put pressure on one side of the seam and it gives, then it will translate through the mattress to your body. I made that mistake too).You will also want to paint the plywood too.

Yes. Any time I could ever need a bed, I will buy one of these for the rest of my life. It is so affordable, and so ridiculously comfortable, I want to cry thinking about money I have spent on other beds. I used to feel bad for making my professional boyfriend sleep on my mattress on the floor in my tiny student apartment - turns out, he likes my bed better than he likes his! Maybe this will be an early birthday present for him. And I could even afford it!It is soft and has the body-cradling attributes of memory foam, but also has a "push-back" factor that keeps it from being a back-tweaker. The smell dissipated quickly, and I use the Sleep Defense System Mattress Encasement with it because I have an unholy terror of bedbugs. This makes it sleep hot, and I can say less about the hot/cold factor because of that. Either way I would recommend a mattress pad and a frame or boxspring. From what I can tell it is "unidirectional" - you can't flip it upside down and get the same feeling, but thats just based on the pattern.Overall this was just a total Amazon score and I am very delighted with it.

In this current era where technically all students are broke, I needed to find a bed that was cheap but still supportive. After spending what felt like weeks searching (actually it was probably a week b/c I needed one pronto), I came upon this bed.Reading the reviews over and over again I took a *cringes* chance and bought it. Never trying on anything beforehand when I already bought it makes me anxious. Anyways it arrived in a week and here I am laying on my bed when I started writing this review but at this point in this review I'm eating noodles in the living room, away from my soft bed.Onto my bed, I waited ten days to write a review and so far it's still good. As the other reviewers said, it's soft. No worries it feels firm when you lay down to sleep on it (at least to me) and it contours to your body shape. The only thing I would've given this five stars would be if the foam would rise quick like my old spring mattress. I almost miss it. Almost. Just the bouncy part though HAHAHA. And so because it takes like 5-8 seconds to rise back up, it makes me fall back on the dent I created whenever I move a few inches to either side if I'm playing games or something.But hey the good news is I sleep deeply with this mattress that I no longer twist and turn so that's a plus. Would I recommend this bed? Definitely. Is it worth this price? Of course. Although right now it's twenty bucks cheaper than when I bought it. Fudge.

I thought this mattress was going to be different than other foam mattresses because it advertised "cool" and "gel infused" but it gets just as warm as my other thick foam mattress. If someone of a large size sleeps on it, it will get hot. However, this mattress is comfortable to sleep on for a single lightweight person.

I got this mattress to use on my adjustable bed. I love the mattress, however I do have a small problem with the gel top. When I have the head elevated, it causes a large wrinkle in the mattress at the bend in the mattress. I just smooth it out when I make the bed.

I was not sure about ordering a mattress through the web, but I am now.It arrived wrapped up in a box about 2ft/2ft/4ft, squished flat and plasticwrapped in a long roll, but cut the tape, remove the plastic, and this thingflopped open, spread out, self raised & was a perfect mattress in about an hour.I slept on it last night for the first time and slept better than I have in a long while.Would recommend to others without hesitation ...

I bought this mattress in full size to put into a guest room and my company loved it. It was supportive but not too firm and they were surprised when I told them it was only 8 inches thick. They slept soundly and woke up refreshed. Highly recommend to use with a platform or metal foundation/bed frame for solid support. You don't need a box spring.

the best investment i ever made. ive never gotten such a good nights sleep, my best friend spent a thousand or more on the big name brand, and i like this matress better, i am a middle age person with a bad back, and ever since i got this matress every morning has been pain free,
