CSY metallic watercolors are very rich in color and quality. I have nine sets now and will order more. They are beautifully packaged and protected for shipping. I ordered one quinshan green set and there is no comparison! Don't waste your money on quinshan. CSY are well worth the bit more cost and so fun to work with.

Wonderful paints!

The colors are beautiful, the shimmer and shift is lovely, and they are really beautiful. They do seem to dry more quickly than traditional watercolor, but that’s fine once you realize it. I just ordered another set of colors.

As a avid watercolor user its important for you to mist these and let them sit a few minutes before using to get the best color. They are a handmade paint with metallics so doing this brings out there best properties. I found them all very easy to use. They come with magnet strips you can cut and put on the bottom of the half pans to keep them situated in the tins with no movement. I chose to use them and they were easy to cut with scissors. I also made my own inside cover color charts by tracing the tin onto watercolor paper and using some double sided tape to fix it into the lid. Since each paint has a small sticker with the name on it I pealed them off easily and put them on the swatch card. I also made sure to use a fine tip sharpie to label the pans themselves so if I love a color I know what it is. The small tins are very good quality and the half pans are filled to the brim so for this price point they are really worth it. Compared to many other large factory metallic watercolors I already had these were very nice and in some cases much better. I would highly recommend them.

I love adding some of these colors to the last bit of a watercolor painting. This is a lovely set of colors with good pigments. Love the size of these sets.

Decent for the price - I liked the chrome sparkle. It's a little chalky, but looks really cool when mixed with another type of watercolor. The colors were really confusing and almost illegible. I'm not sure what "Ouochmore Violet Pearl" and "Inidescent Manstone" is, and I think the "Blue Silver" and "Blue Pearl" are supposed to just be Silver and Pearl.

I love these. The colors are amazing and such a delight with which to paint. They activate well, and the shimmer is delicious!! Even looking upon the palette stirs inspiration. Thank you to the handmakers of these lovely colors!!

These cute paints look great on paper. The metallic brighten up anything, even painting on wood! The colours are bright and good quality.This little tin of paints is a gem, to use anywhere which was the main reason behind the purchase. Taking out and about an easy paint set with minimal fuss, which goes easily in my handbag with a bottle of water and brush.
