LUVO Steel-Cut Oatmeal with Quinoa and Mixed Dried Fruit, 10 Ounce (Pack of 8)

I LOVE Luvo products. I couldn't find this item in any grocery store or specialty food store, so I ordered it from Amazon. They arrived well packaged in a foam container with dry ice which kept them frozen on a delivery day when it was 95-degrees outside. They should be kept in your freezer until ready for use. I throw these in my insulated lunch bag with an ice pack and I take them to work for breakfast. I put them in our office pantry freezer. Five minutes on high in the microwave and the smell is mouthwatering. Everyone at work asks what smells so good. The oatmeal and quinoa turned out perfectly tender, not gummy or runny, and have rich nutty flavors. There are good sized slices of peaches, pineapple, apples and cranberries. The fruit was firm yet tender (not mushy) after cooking. There are slivers of almonds too, so be careful if you have nut allergies. I also tried cooking this in my oven at home. The package recommended cooking in a 350-degree oven for 35-mins. But I found cold spots, so I stuck it back in the oven for another 20 minutes or so and it still turned out great. No false advertising here. It looks just like it does on the box. I love that this is all real comfort food, none of that freeze-dried processed stuff. It’s delicious, low in fat, calories, sugar and sodium, so a great healthy option as a snack too. The portion is the correct size for an adult but some people may thinks it’s not enough food and find they are still hungry. You can definite add on items like yogurt cups filled with blueberries. Or whole wheat toast with peanut butter. Or a veggie egg white omelet with salsa and a turkey sausage link for a heartier meal. The price is great too because I spent far more per meal when I was buying breakfast at my company’s cafeteria. I really wish my freezer at home were bigger because I would buy the hell out of any supply Amazon has left. Placing another order today!

This is an excellent oatmeal except for one ingredient....the pineapple chunks are too big and had a sour taste. I just brushed them aside and ate the rest of the oatmeal which is very good.
