But might be a tad heavy at first. *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2017* Love this wok ladle, it is super heavy duty and is what is what is used by a lot of Chinese restaurants in Japan. It is super well made, thick solid metal used throughout the ladle. The handle is made of a nice wood that is double nailed into the hollow lower metal handle part. You can use it all day and the wooden handle never gets hot, the metal part might get a bit on the warm side. The wooden handle part is replaceable, but the wood is of such good quality, that the average home cook will never need to replace it. It also gets a nice patina and is even smoother with use and oil.I would say that it's drawback would be the weight, cause it is so well made and uses really good quality metal, it's a bit heavy. But you get used to it and it's fine after a bit. Another small issue is that the bowl/cup part of the ladle is welded onto the metal bar part, it is sometimes really rough and has some sharp burrs from the weld. I wish they would either sand/grind/file it down to keep it from being so rough.
