The Vidiu Go Deluxe Kit includes everything you need to start streaming at an incredible price point. Go live with 2 Node modems and a $500 Core credit, which is discounted at 40% off and will give you over 100 hours of streaming to multiple destinations. Also enjoy additional features like remote monitoring, HEVC transcoding, cloud archiving and much more with your included Core subscription. With HDMI and SDI inputs, Vidiu Go seamlessly connects with both consumer and professional cameras, in addition to popular video switchers. For instant live streaming, quickly set your streaming parameters from Vidiu Go’s web and OLED interface, or pre-configure your device with the free Vidiu app for iOS and Android. Once powered on, Vidiu Go is ready to stream in under 10 seconds. Vidiu Go includes both H.264 and HEVC compression, allowing you to choose the technology best suited to your project. HEVC video compression offers the same video quality as H.264 at half the required bandwidth, which makes it perfect for slow Ethernet and WiFi connections or saving on data costs when streaming over cellular networks. Vidiu Go features the very same bonding technology found in our high end broadcast systems. Never drop another live broadcast by streaming over the combined bandwidth from Ethernet, WiFi, and up to two 3G / 4G / LTE modems, or use several iPhone and Android smartphones as hotspots for even more bandwidth redundancy. Expand the reach of your content and build a larger audience by streaming to multiple platforms at the same time. With Core, you can stream live on all of your favorite platforms simultaneously, including multiple Facebook pages, Twitch, YouTube, and more. While the RTMP protocol does not yet support HEVC compression, our transcoding engine allows you to take advantage of H.265’s bandwidth savings while ensuring video delivery in the common H.264 format *Transcoding only available through Core.

Vidiu X is almost perfect.
I purchased the Vidiu X with a little hesitation after reading a number of reviews of Teradek products and watching a video review of the Vidiu X. Extreme heating of the Vidiu X was highlighted in many of the reviews. I'm a first-time Teradek customer and decided to take a chance.Unfortunately, I immediately had problems when I started using the encoder. It would not reliably detect and connect to an HDMI video input. After spending several weeks trying to change cables and firmware, etc., I had to pay to ship it back to Teradek service. When I received the repaired encoder, It works perfectly, so far. If it continues to work without any more issues I will be very satisfied with this encoder. It still gets very hot. I attached a plot of the temperature that shows how hot the bottom mounting plate gets. The back of the plate, near the cables, gets around 123F/50C. There is a burning type of odor that emits from the encoder at those temperatures.I have tried leaving messages at the service department but no one calls back.It may be when it is mounted that helps mitigate the temperature. It would be helpful if Teradek would respond to these questions so we can use their products with confidence.I would be happy to increase this to a five-star rating if I don't have any further problems. Until then, I will leave it at three stars.

Smaller, faster boot time, does not encode to mp4 natively
For the pros: Much smaller footprint than previous models, much faster booting!, better control over the video recording starting/stopping independently of the streaming. Encoder gets very hot on bottom, but according to their website this is expected and not a problem.Cons: Problem is that they removed the option to record to mp4. You now have the option of recording to mkv or ts. While these are just packaging and inside it's all mp4, there are still many players that don't recognize these, and I'm getting a lot of complaints from customers that they can't play the videos.I reached out to the Teradek team, but got a canned response with no follow-up, very disappointing.

Powerful little box.
This encoder is streaming our church services. We required excellent audio signal. This box gives us the audio bitrate we need to sound as good as the live event. We have an inexperienced team and are able to do the job! Thanks, Teradek and amazon!

A nice all in one solution for streaming anywhere with an internet connection
This device gets a lot right and only a few things wrong. Lets start with what works well here. You have the ability to stream directly from this box to just about any streaming platform. All without the need for a PC. The mobile app works quite well with this and I'd certainly recommend you use the app over trying to navigate the menu systems on the tiny screen of the device itself. There is also a web interface built into the device that you can use for configuration as well. Your stream maxes out at 1080p 60fps but that is pretty standard for most live streaming needs even in a professional environment. There is a SD card built into the side of the device as well. This give you the ability to have an immediate copy of your stream. Keep in mind this IS a compressed version of your stream so the quality isn't super impressive but it's a fantastic safety feature.Another big selling point for me was to just use this device as a wireless video system. This device has the ability to create it own wireless access point. So if I am on set shooting video I have have the Vidiu X attached something to my camera rig and the client can simply connect to it with their iPad and have a live feed of everything I am shooting. This thing is truly a mobile system. You power this device via USB-C to a USB Power bank that has PD capability (which is most newer USB banks these days) and because you don't need a PC to stream, the only remaining items you need are a camera and stable Internet connection which you can use your smart phone to accomplish. You could literally be live streaming from your high end mirrorless camera in the middle of the woods as long as you have good signal on your phone.Another huge plus with this device is network bonding. You can be streaming out via a wireless connection, an ethernet connection as well as a USB hot spot device. The device will load balance between all three connections to give you the most stable stream possible. Do note you will need to be using Teradek's online service, Sharelink, to use this capability. You can pay per gigbyte uploaded or sign up for a monthly account. The monthly plans are $25 for a max of 50gb data or $49 for 125gb. That may not sound like a lot of data but when you are livestreaming you are usually between 5-15 megabits per second anyway so those limits go a long way. If you are providing a streaming solution to clients getting this service is a no brainer. What are the negatives here? Heat for one. This little box gets super steamy. If you have been streaming for over an hour this device get very hot but not to the point where you could burn yourself or anything. It's just warmer than I like any of my electronics to ever get. Thankfully there is a cooling fan so I don't think you are ever going to see any damage to the device due to overheating. You need to be sure you are not using this device tucked in a bag or anywhere where airflow is restricted. Personally I would have preferred the device to have been a bit bigger if this would have helped cooling. As it is this thing is only like roughly 4"x3"x1". It's super small. That being said because the Vidiu X is so small it makes it ideal for attaching to your camera rig like I previously mentioned. There is even a 1/4" mounting hole on the base so you could literally just attach this thing to the side/top of your camera rig or even out on a magic arm.I'd love to see the Vidiu X have the ability to have some basic functionality to overlay some graphics. With this feature the Vidiu X could be a fantastic solution for game streamers. If you are looking for a basic and simple solution for your live streaming needs it's really hard to beat this system especially at this price point. I think a person even with basic technical know-how can be up and running very quickly with this device. It is certainly MUCH easier to get up and running with the Vidiu X vs a PC and trying to get OBS running reliably which can be a nightmare at times. Plus this thing is made by Teradek who in my opinion are pretty much the best company out there when it comes to wireless video products. You will not have any problem getting support from these folks if you ever run into any problems.
