Don't mind the incomplete studio, in the process of setting stuff up. lol I've been searching for an alternative to Blue's suggested Series 2 shock mount for my Blueberry for a while. The bands and positional arm on Blue's product are just terrible for what its going for so when I found this Auphonix shock mount it looked like a promising alternative at an unbeatable price. That said I understand that this is not made for the mic that I have. So here's my take on the product. Pros: 1) Obviously the price point. Way cheaper than Blue's Series 2 shock mount and other alternatives. 2) It worked on my Blueberry mic, though not without modification which I'll get to later. 3) Feels very sturdy after modification. 4) Looks great. 5) The company goes a great distance to educate customers about the manufacturing fault on Blue's end. Cons 1) The screw that is used to attach to the mic did fasten to the mic well, but it didn't fasten to the shock mount itself leaving room for the mic to shift up and down. I found a really cheap fix which was to get a 5/8" grommet which I sliced down the middle which helped tighten it down to the shock mount. 2) Not sure if this is Auphonix's issue or Innogear's issue, but the arm would not screw down as far as I would like it to on my boom. Though it is fastened down tight enough, I'm not quite 100% confident it will last for long. Any tighter I'm affraid I may strip the threads, but it is on and not moving around. As you can see there's definitely some room for improvement such as maybe providing a washer or grommet along in the package and maybe rework the thread to be able to attach to innogears larger boom. For now I got it to work, but I'm pretty sure others won't be happy to have to modify something they just bought. Modifications aside, for the price this isn't too bad. I say give it a shot. You might get better results than I did if you are using it on a yeti. ***** Update: I've been going back and forth with the company talking about the modification I had to make and the issue with fastening the shock mount to my boom. Long story short they sent me another shock mount free of charge and this one was able to screw down perfectly onto my boom. Now I still had to use my modification (grommet) to screw down to my mic, but I actually prefer it because it not only helps fasten down the mic to the shock mount, but also helps keep you from screwing down too much, and helps prevent scratching the top with the screw if you are able to get down that far. This company has been a real pleasure to work with and from that alone I would buy from them again. I highly recommend buying this if you are looking for a solid, yet cheap alternative shock mount to replace the Series 2 by Blue for your Blueberry. Get it.

Extremely satisfied, I highly recommend
Absolutely fantastic, very satisfied, reduced vibrational noise from my desk substantially if not completely- very effective product. Fit my blue yeti nicely. Product seems to be holding the weight of the microphone without any issues, quality product for the price. I highly recommend, I've had a blue yeti for over 2 years now and I regret not buying this sooner.... p.s. people seem to be buying this and are experiencing issues with their mic that is not the shock mounts fault (i.e. background noise, electrical interference hissing noise, screw not fitting, etc.) but none of those issues are due to the product being sold here. I knew exactly what i was buying before purchasing this and I am very happy with the results :) p.s.s. oh yeah I forgot to mention, I purchased the Aluminum version for $10 more, but I am under the impression that the plastic version will perform just as well and would be just as durable. at the time of my purchase it was pretty much 20$ vs 30$ and I figured I would be using this shock mount for the years to come so I just decided to drop the extra 10 for the aesthetics, but yeah sturdy plastic is actually very hard to break/crack without throwing it against a wall, so if you're shopping to get the cheapest setup possible then I would recommend the plastic version as it likely has equal results and durability, the only difference you're paying for is purely cosmetic.

Fits but still a little loose
I received the shock mount intact and in superb packaging. Nicely and safely secured. The shock stand did fit my Blue Yeti exactly. It is a 2014 edition, pics of serial number taken to help. The only issue I had was the mount was not very tight in securing the mic, and also the attachment piece that connects to the flexible arm was not very tight. If I want to have my mic hoizontal, the mount would loosen with the weight of the mic. The mic itself didnโt move too much positionally, and it did feel secure, but not as tight as I would have liked it to be for safety measures. As described in the 2 emails the seller sent, I know they described a solution to the mic not fitting as using Plumbers tape. Iโm going 4 stars because the item is good quality and working, but docking a star because if plumbers tape is needed, it should be provided. The buyer should not have to deal with an ill fitted mount or have to spend extra money to ensure the item works. Also, I docked a star because there should be a disclaimer that says this item does not fit all Yeti mics, and if thatโs a known issue then provide 2 separate mounting screws. Overall a good purchase with good quality, I will have to go spend some extra money to make this exactly how secure I would like it to be. I did enjoy the matted silver finish and the bungee cords did seem to be good quality for sound reduction. The tightening screw that bends the unit up and down works very well, was able to hold my mount in a horizontal position without much play.

I didn't know I could love a shock mount
I wanted to make sure to give this item a 5 star because 1: it fit perfectly, works well and looks beautiful! 2: I received not 1, but 2 emails ahead of time telling me of possible issues I may have with this item and how to solve it if I were to run into the issue. There is an issue with certain yetis and this mount OR THE OFFICIAL MOUNT having different threading and it is not an issue with the mount but the yeti itself. If you buy this item and the threading seems off it's not because of the brand or not having the official mount. I was told to get plumbers tape to fix the issue. Again my fits just fine and honestly makes me just warm and fuzzy on the inside Con: I wish it were black. I have the black out edition and a black stand. At the end of the day though it still looks great

Works for bottom mount mics (Beyerdynamic Fox)
I was trying to find a shock mount for my beyerdynamic fox mic but couldn't find any but I did notice that the yeti and the beyer mount to boom arms the same. The problem is the yeti is 5/8 and the beyer is 3/8 so I thought I would take the bolt out of the shock mount that screws into the yeti and replace it with a 3/8, this did not work though as the bolt is fixed in place on the shock mount. So I took a 5/8 to 3/8 adapter and screwed it onto the shock mount bolt then into my beyer mic. I would imagine this would also work for any other mic that has a similar boom arm mounting style. The only issue I can see is its a little wobbly, there is a slight gap in-between the shock mount's bolt and my 3/8 adapter, I will fix this with a rubber washer though. Overall great value for the price.

... selling feature is a cute name or cute appearance like an anthropomorphic stand
Never buy a product where the main selling feature is a cute name or cute appearance like an anthropomorphic stand. Obviously the Blue "Yeti" microphone falls in this class. I picked up a used one for a song and soon discovered that it was very sensitive to both wind and "pop" as well as "ground" (or in my case counter top) noise. No problem. A quick order for an Aokeo pop filter and a shock mount should tweak it right out. Well Blue makes a shock mount, but it costs a fortune. Way over what It's worth in my opinion. Enter Auphonix. supposedly they make plastic and aluminum versions. Metal is always better and I ordered the metal one. It is one FINE piece of gear. Big heavy Yeti mic is vibration isolated and yet does not wobble around all over the place. Perfect. Just one problem (which the card in the mount box warned of): the threaded hole in the Yeti Mic was improperly threaded and the mounting thread would not engage the mic to mount it! Didn't I just warn you about "cute" things? So what is the answer? Well a lot of machining would be one, but luckily there was a simpler one. The Auphonix mount has a foam pad on the mounting area to keep from scratching your crappy Yeti mic, Just rip the pad off and the mounting plug was long enough to catch a few threads and mount the mic. Done. So a cheap used Yeti mic, a pop filter, and the Auphonix aluminum mount and I've got a great sounding noise-resistant stereo mic feeding great sounding audio right into a USB port. Which was the original purpose of the whole project. 5 stars for this mount.

Exactly what you think it is...
Just received it today and attached it to a cheap scissor-arm desk boom. It looks just like the picture shows and works as described. It's the better choice between the two options (other one holds it from the sides, also a shock mount). I have a White Blue Yeti mic that I've had on the base that came with the mic since I purchased it 2 years ago. Fits perfectly and definitely gets rid of the bumps and clacks that come from typing and clicking which reverberate off the desk and through the original stand into the mic. Now those same bumps and clicks are mere background noise. Just be aware that if you dangle this thing over your keyboard or mouse, it's still going to pick up that noise. Seems pretty obvious, but we live in a society where you have to have a child warning on a box of stickers so... There is a disclaimer in the box that says some Yeti mics have an odd-sized malformed mount screw hole which in some rare cases won't fit any standard 5/8" screw. Sounds like a manufacturing flaw. They mention that you can contact them to try and resolve the issue. I'm not sure what they will actually do - but the fact that they warn you about that in writing and offer to help with something that wasn't even their fault was legit good form and they have my respect for that even though it doesn't impact me at all.

The first one broke
I bought this stand before and it lasted about a year before it got loose. I tried to tighten the screws but they were bald and just spun endlessly. I only bought this again because I saw weird reviews on the other mounts and I was pressed for time. I could at least expect this one to last a year - I'd rather have not bought it though because it's just more junk that'll break and go into a landfill. I have the big silver blue yeti mic, it screws into the shock mount well and it holds its weight well and feels secure.
