A: You could gently hand vacuum with an attachment, but I would not use an upright to vacuum the fur. It is not designed to be a utility floor rug. I would shake it out more often than not.

A: I've never had matting, but I just use a pet brush to fluff it up from time to time.  Ours is on a chair, not on the floor.

A: I love mine. They can be washed, can brushed and look and feel soft and fluffy.

This sheepskin rug is very soft and comfortable. It feels smooth to the touch and is pleasant to lie on. The white color did not last long with frequent use and washing. The size is perfect if you plan to use it for sitting, but you would need two if you want to sleep on it or lie down comfortably. The fur did not shed even after extended use, and I would recommend it if you are looking for a soft, comfortable sheepskin rug.
