We’ve gone through countless battery powered ones. They all wear out after awhile, this one may, too, but at least we’re not going through as many batteries. Even the rechargeable batteries get worn out. Anyways, the charge seems to last for a good while. My kids will play anywhere from 30-90 minutes and we haven’t had a meltdown of them dying yet. We do have two trains but also two kids so both are used daily. We put them on the charger at bedtime, remove before we go to bed (1-3 hours ish.) The trains also have more power than any battery powered one we’ve had, which makes everyone happy. It’s quiet, powerful, not too fast but not slow either, it fits on any standard wooden track it seems. Overall a great purchase!
