No, you cannot connect a hose. The drain plug is a pop in/out.

Is this microwave safe so I can heat water in it?

Will your microwave hold a pan this size and work properly? This pan does not fit inside my mircowave and would damage microwave as pan is too large to rotate on turntable.

Yes; the plug is removable. It seems sturdy and has held up well. I'm really pleased with this tub.

Does this have any kind of odor?

I never noticed an odor and i opened them up in my house to check the out before i put them in my camper!
