This review is for first time users w/ long, unbleached, and/or prev box dyed hair
Base: dark brown roots + left over copper and red from a box strawberry blonde I'd been using for the last two years + color remover used a week prior to bleaching. I bleached using 20 dev + ION creme lightener and ended up with light yellow bangs/money pieces in the front (9.5/10), level 10 bright yellow roots even though I did those last, and dark yellow/strawberry blonde in the back (8.5 w/ ends around 7.5). To me, the front and back sections looked like the first and third photos on the before/after pics from AF. So I decided to try the first bottle of Arctic Fox to see if I even needed to do another lift. Answer: Yes, I did. But it probably wouldn't have worked anyway, because: 1. I should have gone to a salon for the bleaching part. My hair is wavy, thin but plentiful, super porous, and in the back it's close to my waist. That's a lot of hair to try and bleach in one session and it did not go well. I had to bleach the missed sections separately a week later and try to blend them with the already bleached sections. It was a mess, and one I didn't want to have to repeat. 2. My bleached hair ended up mostly yellow. Purple cancels yellow and so, after all the work I did to remove the existing color, bleach, repair, then apply AF, I just ended up with a pretty golden blonde that looked almost exactly like the box dye I'd already been using. If I had gone to a salon, they probably would have told me to expect that. 3. Don't use conditioner of any kind before applying this. I used a hair repair mask after bleaching but a few days before I applied AF so thought it would be okay. It wasn't. On dry hair, I saturated completely using about 10 oz of the AF and left it in for 40 minutes. Even in the places it should have been bright purple versus simply toned, it barely showed up. If this has any chance of working at all, you have to shampoo ONLY, avoid any masks for at least two prior washes, let your hair air dry overnight then apply. Rinse using ice cold water and avoid any and all heat sources including the sun. Final verdict: The product itself is excellent. The smell and conditioning aspects are amazing, so I'm giving it 5 stars. It's not AF's fault I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Unless you've already done this before, go to a salon and/or know that if you're starting anywhere other than a level 10 platinum/white blonde and/or have long hair, this is probably going to take multiple bleach sessions, multiple application sessions, and after all that, it might only last a week. As soon as I stepped in the sun, it started to fade (and I haven't even washed it yet). It's been five days and it's already a pretty pink color (versus lilac) in the places you can actually see it. That's just the result of my hair being my type of hair and it has nothing to do with the product itself. P.S. Go to a salon. P.P.S. Go to a salon.

Works well! See Photo for effect on brown hair
I used Purple AF when my daughter was younger but do not have a photo. It worked well. Recently, we mixed Violet Dream with Virgin Pink on light brown hair and got a nice fall color. You can see her before and after photo that gives you an idea of where she started and ended without any bleach or lightening.

Artic fox Girls night color.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. This was used on blonde hair. Followed the instructions. Absolute disappointment. It barely dyed the roots. More like barely tinted the roots. The rest of the hair it did not dye at all. The scalpgot dyed more than the hair did. Would not recommend or purchase again.

Girls Night Out
I am going to echo others in saying that Girls Night Out just does not cover anything regardless of how light your hair is. I went from platnium, used girls night out and it did not take to half my hair. That has never happened in the last 10 years using Arctic Fox. I will still use Arctic Fox because I love their colors, have never had an issue before, and they are cruelty free and vegan. But it's upsetting that now I have to rebleach and try another color. For the parts of my hair that did take, it is a very pretty color.

Depends on the Shade
I am using these on bleached hair. How good it is depends on the color you get. I wash my hair with cold water and not too frequently, which helps a lot. ================ Frose: I get lots of compliments. Despite being a pastel I usually get 2-3 weeks out of it, and even after that it fades quite nicely into a strawberry hinted blonde. But like all pastels it doe require a fair bit of maintenance compared to brighter colors. Girls Night: It's a nice color, more of a pastel purple. But it's very streaky, the color didn't want to apply evenly at all. I put it in for 8 hours and it was covered with plastic wrap the whole time. I was careful to massage the color through the strands the same way I do with Frose, which is also a pastel. Throughout the day I massaged it a little more here and there to spread the pigment more. I could already tell even when I was first applying it that it didn't seem to want to absorb as much as the Frose did. From reading the reviews it seems most people mix this color with another one because they have the same issue. So they're using it to lighten a darker purple or blue dye. That seems to make sense with my results with it. Poison: The best red I've ever used. This stuff lasts and lasts and it's so brilliantly red. When it fades it's into a pink that I like to keep for a while, lasts almost as long as Frose. Virgin Pink - This stuff STAYS. I was shocked to see this lasting about a month and a half before it even began to fade some. It did fade kind of streaky but it kind of looked nice in a way, it just looked like I had some frose colored strands. I'm gonna try mixing it with Frose.

Girls Night Success!
I've been wanting to try lavender hair for a long while, and decided to just do it! After researching several different brands/products, I settled on this Arctic Fox one. I had pink hair (faded down from red), and had to bleach my hair before using this product. I love how this came out :) I do notice that the lavender doesn't fully cover the pink. This shade (Girls Night) is a smidge lighter than I think it should be. I wish the color was slightly more saturated. But the pink leftover looks like intentional highlights, so I'm not complaining. I use color-depositing conditioner (the lavender shade of Kera Color) frequently, or else this would fade pretty quickly. Overall, I would use this again; I get so many compliments!

Love this color on my grey/silver hair! Exactly as I expected based on the bottle color
NOTE: My hair is naturally grey/salt pepper/white. I was blessed with a fab head of great grow out grey. DYE: Girls Night (lavender) I really like this - I never attach photos to reviews but since so few have for this color (on grey hair) I thought it might be helpful. It's a light-ish color out of the bottle and doesn't look like much. But you have to give it time on your hair. This photo was 1 hour processing time. AND...heat is key. If you heat it as it sits, it will take MUCH better. I wrap my pieces in foil and then either heat with a hair dryer, or - this time - I pinched the foil with my flat iron a few times up and down to heat the strands with the color. And I'm very very happy with what turned out. The side of the photo where the curl is has more WHITE strands in it. The other side has more grey. So you can see the contrast and how the color took to the strands. WASH IT OUT with COLD WATER/ COOL WATER. This will set it in the hair. Then I wash, every other day, with purple shampoo since I have grey hair and I think this helps a lot. Anyhoo - it doesn't smell offensive, but the smell does pop back out every time your hair is wet for about a week. Kind of sweet smelling. Not my fav, but not bad. Happy coloring!

Very nice color
The color comes out very nice. Exactly as expected. Definitely needs to be done on lightened hair. It smells really good too. Does wash out / fade pretty quickly. Mine faded to a pinkish color

Insomma, ampiamente promosso :D

My Favourite Semi-Permanent Hair Dye!
Absolutely wonderful product, I am so pleased I made the decision to purchase this. Such a gorgeous shade, and leaves my hair in really good condition, which even some of the best temporary colours don't do! Colour lasted about 6 washes before noticeably fading, but wasn't completely gone for about 12 washes, which is seriously impressive! I've used quite a few temporary colours in the past, and now I can honestly say I won't be purchasing any other brands, as this has impressed me so much - not least because the smell is so pleasant, and doesn't have that nasty chemical smell I thought was necessary in any hair colours.

Super tolle Farbe
