If not,why?** A: I believe this would work fine for an above ground pool but would be way overkill. I use this on my 32,000 gallon in ground pool. I would get something much smaller for above ground. You would want to check the flow rate from your pump as well. **Q: Which multiport valve matches this filter model?** A: There is no multiport valve with this cartridge filter. No need to back flush. This happens due to substandard materials and malfunctioning pressure relief valves. Mine split across the top about 20” and had it not been for my backyard Ring Camera I may have had an empty pool that’s about 28,000 gallons. These units have a long history of poor quality and failing structurally. A $700 piece e of junk that could cost you thousands in so many ways. And the SELLER ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT stand behind these units past 30 days. 1 year—“forget about it” My Hayward system lasted 20 years and while the price nearly tripled in 20 years it’s built to industry standards for quality and more importantly SAFETY!
