Since my original trunk lid lift support was not functioning ...
Since my original trunk lid lift support was not functioning as intended (due to its age), I ordered this part. Timely shipping through Amazon as usual (thanks!). Upon receipt, the part was well packaged, cardboard box with part protected inside by sealed plastic sleeve. Installation was a breeze, taking all of 5 minutes. Simply unsnap each end of the lift from the mounting stud and snap the new lift in. The new lift holds the rear deck lid up as intended.

Stopped working after 2 months. Not a great purchase.
The fit is decent, and initially it held up the engine lid fairly well, but that was short lived, as it only took 2 months and 7 days before the strut lost its strength. I'd suggest you look for another strut, or stick with OEM.
