A VOW OF FOREVER Paperback – June 2, 2021

How much I missed these two! I love Julianna and Killian so much, and I am so happy that I got to read more about them. Ever since I’ve found out about this novella, I’ve been been making up all of this scenarios in my mind and counting the days until the release.This was everything I needed and all the things I didn’t know that I needed in my life.I read it without breathing or pausing, and when I reached the end I had so manny feelings. I am so happy for this novella, so happy that I got to read more about one of my favorite couples.Lylah did it again. She did an outstanding job, as always, delivering an amazing and so well written story, with great characters and the perfect amount of angst, steamy moments, fluff and a happily ever after that could warm even the coldest heart.I smiled, laughed and cried with the characters, I mean it’s not a Lylah James book if I don’t end up crying my eyes out and having my heart being ripped apart and then sewed back together.She is an amazing writer, I am in love with her books and characters, I can’t get enough of them.This novella gave me all the feels, and I swear that I’ve fallen in love even more with this power couple. I am obsessed with these two. Killian and Julianna are perfect together, they complete each other and are a perfect match. They have an undeniable chemistry, both of them know how to play with each others demons, constantly fighting for their love, dreams and happiness.After all that angst, secrets, sacrifices and loss, they are finally happy. They are in a great place, all of the trauma and horrors behind them, and they are ready for their new life as a family.This story raised my expectations about the man I want by my side.Killian proved once again that he is the perfect man, he is a loving husband and father, he would do anything for his family. I loved how protective he was of Julianna through the entire story, always there by her side. He loves her unconditionally, and I need a man like him in my life.And when I didn’t think I could love him more, he went above all my expectations. When it needed, he chose his family above everything, no matter the consequences. He is a strong and powerful men, who knows where his priorities are: with his family.Julianna, my sweet and darling Julianna, she is such a good, beautiful and kind person. She is an amazing mother and a supportive and devoted wife. She is always there for her husband, supporting his dreams and career. I admire her strength, she is so strong, a warrior and survivor. She went through hell, lost almost everything but still remained strong and kind. She is the perfect partner for Killian.I loved their second wedding, especially the vows, it was such a beautiful scene. I am so happy that I got to see them as a family, see them as parents. Their story is so beautiful written, it is almost impossible not to fall in love with them. They share a strong connection, and their love is the strongest.My heart broke for them at one point in the story, and for a moment I was so afraid. I screamed and cried with them, feeling their pain and loss.But in the end, all was well and they are stronger and happier then before. These characters have a special place in my heart, and for sure every few months I’m gonna return to them and re-read their story.

To make you laugh when you’re sad, to hold you when you’re hurting and to love you even when you can’t love yourself. I choose you, Julianna.”The conclusion that Julianna & Killian needed, it was heartbreaking & beautiful. This novella is an extended epilogue of A Vow of Hate, and it’s must read if you want to read about Killian & Julianna being parents & growing together in their marriage. The novella was heartbreaking at times, but it was a beautiful conclusion that shows us that Julianna & Killian’s love can conquer it all. I will miss Julianna & Killian dearly.

I would have been happy how A Vow of Hate ended which gave us a glimpse of their future. In this novella, we see Killian wanting to make amends to Julianna despite what she tries to assure him that she forgives him from their beginning. We see them as parents and the growing love they have their children and each other. No matter how many promises they make to each other, the past still has some power over Julianna but it’s Killian who keeps her moving forward. Lylah’s writing is beyond powerful where you feel the effects of it down to your core. Her characters are beautifully written and the story stays with you long after you finish reading.

Uf, I'm so sorry for writing this review but I'm going to write it and I'm sorry I'm going to say this but I'm a bit disappointed :(First of all I love Lylah's writing and I LOVED A Vow of Hate SOOOO MUCH I love Killian and Julliana, and I was super excited for this novella but reading it I honestly did not like it that much. I really wanted them to have happy ending but this was not it, I love everything in the beginning, I'm okay with their struggles and all problems caused by media and everything but the second loss was so unnecessary like I don't see point in it besides to break us. I also was a little bit disappointed that we did not saw them as parents and that Cameron was so little in this book. And I'm mostly sad about epilogue, I mean I liked it but it should have been like a bonus scene or something not the epilogue because it wasn't epilogue for Killian and Julliana and they really deserved one after ALL they have been through.Reading this book I realised that I would be more happy if Lylah gave us one chapter that is set like 6 or 8 years after AVOH, where we could see them as parents,they are happy and all... You know their future with kids and HEA they deserved....Maybe this is just me because I'm a sucker for HEA after all bad things ( don't get me wrong I love a good heart breaking book but then as ending I want HEA they deserved)You might like this book and not think the same as me, which is fine everybody has their own opinions, because book is good ( Lylah has beautiful writing and good books) it just wasn't was I was hoping for...3.5/5

This novella wrecked me. I was expecting more happily ever after scenes and although I got that, I also received the harsh reality. This was so beautifully written, thank you Lylah 🥹💕
