I was expecting a hard rubber type of mat but then I realized that’s just unreasonable as this mods to the car perfectly. It covers “almost” all portions of exposed carpet, the side of the seats are hard to fully cover. but still I was pleasantly surprised at how well made and exact fit this mat is. even the exposed portions at the back seat, right between the seat and floor, is also covered. only issue I would have is trying to remove as it took a lot of effort to install. If you plan on cleaning your mat while it’s inside the car you should be fine, especially if you used the clips. all in all I am very happy with this purchase.
