you can use tape or glue to attach it

can I simply tape this yo the back of my tank?

I have mine taped to the back of the tank. Basically it’s just a piece of fabric. Not thick at all. There is special epoxy glue you can use. Or maybe even glue stick hot wax. But I just used a strong tape

I have my heater on the back and it has not melted. The product is actually a piece of cloth. It’s not plastic. I used two sided tape to attach mine to the aquarium
