I must have gotten a bad batch because this stuff smelled rancid. I made a whole batch of lip balm and had to throw it all away. I tried to use it in a batch of body butter (with no other butters added) and it was so bad. I thought - maybe it’ll get better after I melt it. Nope. Then I added essential oils to it after I whipped it to try to take the smell away. Still horrible. So then I added twice the amount of essential oil I usually add and it STILL smelled bad and rancid. Had to throw it all away.

Organic shea butter that is pure, creamy and easy to whip is hard to find. This shea butter smells fresh and natural. It has no chemical scent. Melts into your skin. I added essential oils and whipped it for my son’s eczema butter. Perfection! Impeccably packed and was delivered within hours of placing the order. Five stars!!

I’m giving this 4 stars because the reason I’m not a fan is probably because I didn’t know much about Mango butter- it just sounded nice & I love Shea butter so why not? I tried this on it’s own to check consistency & skin feel & man is it dry. It’s hard to describe oil as dry, but when you feel it you know what I mean. It’s not emollient. I tried making some skin oil & hair oil products with it & you can’t use much of this without that dry factor creeping in. Probably better suited for hair. I’m going to keep experimenting but right now I have a huge hunk of mango butter & can only use it sparingly before it messes with the emollient function of the other oils so I’m probably going to still have this block in 2035.

This irritated my skin and gave me a blistering rash, its never happened with shea products before so that was unexpected. I couldn't stand the smell and I couldn't mask it with essential oils because I would have to go over recommended therapeutic levels to do so. I didn't bother using the rest of the bar.

when I opened this it was not in a bar it was a very soft smooth cream, I love the texture and feel, it was a hot day so still not sure if the soft melt was from the heat outside waiting for me to come home and bring it in, as was expecting a bar that would have to melt, this saves me a steplove it and hope to use it in massage treatments scented for individual choice.thanks PT for another great shopping experience!!
