WOW!!!! This thing is great. Very well made and solid. It's locking devices are solid and easy to use. My camera is not going any where once I lock it in this. The construction is all high quality aluminum. They put a lot of thought into this and made an awesome product. The packaging it came in was outstanding, with high density foam surrounding the product and the box and plastic covering was perfect. Very well made and packaging was great. This company really cares about building a great product for it's customer's. Well done Ulanzi. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a phone holder that mounts to a tri-pod/bi-pod.

This tripod mount easily holds my iPhone 14 Max, rock solid with strong spring grips. It has two cold shoe mounts for attaching flash or mic, and two 1/4"=20 screw mounts on the back for attaching wireless mic receivers, etc. This camera holder mounts to anuy tripod with a 1/4"-20 thread screw attachment. Several reviewers have complained that it won't attach to the hot shoe on their 35mm camera (which some photogs apparehtnly wish to do). That can easily be done with an adapter found by Googling for "1/4"-20 hot shoe adapter." Several other reviewers have complained that the vertical-horizontal rotation cannot be locked. This is wrong. Either their product was broken and should be replaced under warranty, or they don't know how to read the instructions. Another reviewer complained that the mount cannot be rotated to vbertical positon if the phone is centered in the mount. Well, duh! Clamp it off-centered and it works fine! I could not be more pleased with this product than I am. It is outstanding quality, perfect design, and very light weight, given its strength. Please don't be tuirned off by the very few negative reviews. They don't accurately represent how good this mount is.

Excellent product. All metal construction, very solid. Has great grip on different sizes of cellphone, and has rubber grips so it doesn't damage the cellphone case. There are two knobs to tighten the mount into the desired position. These two knobs are very solid and work well. The mount screws into a standard camera tripod without issues. It works in both portrait and landscape orientation by adjusting one of the knobs on the mount The knobs are cross-hatched, making them easy to grip. Once set in position, it doesn't sag or droop in any way, even with my large iPhone 14 Pro Max. It's getting a lot of use, and is well worth the money spent.

I first purchased one of these about a year ago and it's very reliable of great build it's all solid metal it's severe it's several steps ahead of some of the cheapies you can get on Amazon this seems to be a heavy duty one that holds your phone solid and is very reliable there are no plastic parts on it to break I love it so much that I bought a second one for my other tripod so I don't have to keep taking it off between tripods the cost a little bit more but I think it's worth it

I decided to try using the iPhone 15 Pro on the Scorpion 2. Before that, I read that this is almost impossible because the phone is very light and cannot be balanced. For weighting, I used the MKE400 microphone, which complemented the phone with a beautiful sound, without noise. I set the microphone to +20 in the phone as much as possible automatically. It turned out to be just a gorgeous movie machine. And all this with the help of Ulanzi ST-27 made of metal with very good quality. It is very convenient to use for vertical and horizontal shooting. Now I can use gimbal for both Canon r10 and phone. It turns out to shoot a real movie smoothly without any twitching and jumping. I recommend you try it.

I really like (love) that it is metal. Less likely to break, from my experience over the years. It is solid and quality, compared to most plastic older models. It is a spring loaded - pull-open to insert phone type bracket. Which can be difficult if you have arthritis in the fingers / hands. My phone case makes it not a smooth or simple operation to attach to my case and iPhone. I can do it. Which is great. I expect to use this mounting bracket as my secondary mount. Time will tell. The Red knob is used to lock the spring-loaded holder from opening. I like the knob, easy to use and turn. Yet - not sure it is needed. I do not think once the phone is on the bracket - it will come off. Safety - Lock it. Heavy use, a lot of moving for cinema video captures - lock it. Counterclockwise 1/4 turn and it unlocks to load your phone. Clockwise 1/4 turn and it locks and you can not open the spring-loaded bracket. There is a black-locking-knob (under the red knob) to lock in the Rotation of the phone in position. The iphone 14 Pro Max is fairly heavy, and needs to be centered to stay horizontal. It is nice to have the shoe-mounts included. NOTE: This is only a Cold Shoe. 3 star for versatility - Versatility - would be 5 star if I could rotate my phone 180 to 360 degrees, by having a longer stem on the mount. In order to take video or picture in Portrait mode - your tripod will have to be versatile. - - or disconnect your phone from the mount and reposition the phone to hold the phone Low. If you plan to swap back and forth between portrait mode and landscape mode shooting. Overall 4 star. I like it. I like it a lot and will use it. It fits my new phone, when my older brackets could not handle the new width, with a case.

This is a fantastic addition to my tripod! It is heavier than I was expecting which makes it more sturdy. It holds my phone very securely and the spring expansion "claws" can be locked once you place your phone into it. It also can be adjusted between portrait and landscape without removing your phone. If you're looking, you can't go wrong with this one!

A professional feeling phone mount. Firm and locks in snugly. I use my old, recent model cell phones to capture videos, and the firmness of this tool has made a difference. Resists vibration that flimsy, plastic mounts can cause. I will replace them on all my tripods....

This is a quality bit of gear. The design is great: I love the way that, once the jaws have closed over the phone, you can lock them in place: it makes it rock solid. I'm amazed that something made of metal and with this level of engineering can be made for this price. My previous holder was a similar looking Manfrotto, but this blows it out of the water. Clever design features like several cold shoe mounts make this very usable too. One note: on Amazon.com.au, this was sold as "PICTRON Metal Phone Tripod Mount..." however both the packaging and device are branded Ulanzi (which is what it should be. Don't let "Picton" throw you off). Finally, I saw some reviews saying that the device doesn't hold phones with rounded edges: hogwash - I am using it with an iPhone 11 Pro Max in a clear cover and it is clamped perfectly. in fact, I think Ulanzi are on to the perfect system here: something that both clamps and locks in place.

Got this to allow me to put S23U on a tripod. Its really high quality and works well.

I use this for my iPhone 13 Pro Max and it locks perfectly and rigidly into place (even with a case attached). The milled aluminuim is well produced with no rough edges. There are some threaded holes that you can fit extra stuff like small LED's or even an external microphone. Due to the qualiity of the product, should last some time. Great purchase.
