When I first open the box from Amazon for the first time, I went “oh no” because the scent is really strong and I’m scent sensitive. I wish there was a scent free version of this, but they really do the job and don’t leave a STRONG scent once the laundry is completed, just a nice very light fragrance if you don’t like smells in your clothes. Easy to pop straight into the bin (I have a top loader) - they work best if you get them closest to the bottom of the basin if you’re using a top loader (don’t put them on top of your laundry). They don’t affect color at all that I’ve seen. There’s no cleaning power to them, they only deal with odor. I’ve used these for years and never had one leak on me unless it got wet. They are sorta expensive, but honestly when it’s that or stinky clothes, I’d rather have the little bit of expense, and they’re cheaper in the two pack than to buy singly at the grocery store. Well worth it.

I don’t know a bunch about washing clothes but the wife does. She will not use anything else. I bought another brand at the grocery store because they didn’t carry this and boy did I get chewed out. Now she buys this only on Amazon.

I have been buying these for many years, back when they were part liquid inside. They used to be available at Target, but P&G sold this product to a different company, while still allowing the Tide name to be used. They only seem to be available through Amazon, which is fine. What is not fine is that somewhere along the line, the quality dropped. I often will blame "user error" for complaints, but I have experienced exactly the same thing that other users have shared in review photos. These don't dissolve as they should. I have had towels and t-shirts ruined with bleach-like spots where the pod stuck. It took me quite some time to make the connection since I never use bleach in laundry. I have even more so had segments of the plastic pod adhere to garments and make it all the way through the drying cycle! Luckily, I have just rewashed those items and there was no damage, but it was frustrating to pull something clean out of a drawer only to then find the gummy mess. Although I don't think it is recommended, I have been cutting them open and putting the powder in the drum before the clothing and right before starting the machine. I have not had any issues, but I'd much rather throw the pod in and not need to worry about it. I hope the manufacturer takes steps to remedy this.

The product works on odors but sometimes has issues with dissolving completely in wash. I have tried trimming excess around edges, but most of the time it just sticks to clothing. It does dissolve and disappear while running water on the undissolved product. A pain but worth the results of getting rid of odors. I’ll continue to use as long as it is available!

Really works on my kids' stinky sports clothes and my pet beds.
