Came to the Ergotron - LX after being disappointed by other “premium” monitor arms. Very happy to say I will be keeping this arm. It’s very adjustable, I find the range of height, rotation, and translation to be adjustable. More importantly, it’s stability is impressive, with very little give or play once you set it up. It feels sturdy enough to handle heavy monitors, I’ve got it with a heavy 27” IPS panel and will be setting up a 32” OLED soon. Instructions were encompassing and made set up and instillation straight forward. Expensive but definitely provides good value for the price.

I’m a wife that put this thing together while hubby was traveling for work! That should tell you how simple installation is and the only hiccup I had was due to the back of his desk which only had a four inch opening for cables and such. I had to open that up with a saw to make room for the stabilizer bc I didn’t want to drill into the top of the desk. Once I opened up that space so the clamp (base) could slide in deep enough, it was a ten min process and everything looks fabulous and very sturdy! My hubby has a neck issue and I KNOW it’s bc he’s leaning forward toward his computer too much. I wanted him to just come home and see this thing all set up and not argue about whether or not it would help! Well of course he loves it and he didn’t have to put it together so even more love there, lol! He can pull it all the way toward himself without leaning forward at all, sitting up straight and relaxing those neck muscles, yay! HOWEVER….he’s 6’3 and the standard pole that comes with this unit isn’t long enough at five inches. The more expensive units with longer mounting poles of 8 or 10 inches are far better suited to a tall guy that wants to be dead center in viewing the monitor and not looking at the top of the monitor. That causes you to hunch forward and even adjusting tilt on the screen doesnt make it better! Good thing Ergotron made this easy enough for a monkey to install but keep in mind taller poles for taller folks.

This thing is a TANK! Solid construction, mostly metal with some plastic parts to hold cables. Set up was ridiculously easy and movement/adjustments is fluid and smooth. I value function over form, but with this Ergotron arm, I got both. The arm is beautiful and looks sharp supporting my 24" Apple Studio Display. I have two other monitors at home for use with work and I acquired some other brand arms for those. Although the other brand works fine, they're more for stagnant use, not fluid with movement, and nowhere near as useful or attractive as this Ergotron one. I'll be honest and share that I ordered one about a year ago and sent it back because I wasn't sure that's what I wanted and when I opened the box, it looked complicated to assemble ... at first glance. I was wrong. This thing was so easy to put together and secure to my desk. It really is SOLID and I have complete confidence that it will hold my Studio Display in just the right position for as long as I could possibly want. If you're in the market for a monitor arm, get this - you will be happy. Word of advice, if you are going to get an Apple Studio Display (or the Pro Display XDR ... Mr. rich guy/gal ), order it online and specify that you need a VESA mount. The Apple-provided tilt adjustable stand (& tilt and height adjustable stand) are nice, but you should only get that if you have plenty of desk space and if that's your thing. If that is your thing, then you wouldn't be reading this review because you wouldn't be looking for a monitor arm. I don't often write reviews, and obviously I didn't use AI for my simplistic run-on sentence here, but hopefully this will help if you're trying to decide. Get it, you'll be happy you did.

Discovered this product at the recommendation of a friend, and I can't even begin to explain how pleased I am with the purchase. Putting it together took all of ten minutes; there's really only three parts, most of the time lost was user error trying to get it on my desk. I am using this monitor arm with a large tablet monitor which weighs about 15 pounds and has a 24" diagonal; I need to be able to easily move this monitor arm into drawing position (closer to my lap, angled up towards my face) and into monitor position (more typical monitor positioning on the desk). The attachment to the desk is very sturdy and does not slide at all when I move the arm; in fact, once it's properly fastened, I can't move it at all, which is exactly what I want. The pieces slide right together and tighten with allen wrenches, which are included. It came calibrated for a lighter monitor, but I only had to fasten one bolt to make it very sturdy with my heavy tablet. And, most importantly, the range of motion (especially moving the arm down and angling the monitor up) are easy to get into, but don't shift or droop when I put my hand on it to draw. Though I was initially hesitant because I'm cheap and I saw a lot of less-expensive options, ultimately I'm very glad I got this because it's really EXACTLY what I needed.

Ergotrons monitor arms are 2nd to none. I really like how adjustable this is & the fact you can add an extension arm makes it even better! I mainly got this because I also have an ergotron HX VHD on my desk with my g9 & I wanted the bases to match. I also constantly move around the monitors because I have a 27” OLED gaming monitor that I use exclusively for when I play video games & I have an odyssey g9 for productivity so I really like this ergotron lx, I got an an extension for it & it allows me to hide the 27” monitor behind my odyssey g9 when I’m not using it, & extend it all the way forward when using it. However, if your plan is to get the monitor arm, set it up & forget about it & 1) you don’t need it to extend very far 2) you don’t plan to move it around 3) & you don’t have a super heavy monitor Then: There’s no reason to pay the amount of money for the ergotron. You can easily get a $25/30 Vivo stationary monitor arm or a $50 vivo full motion monitor arm. The ergotron that is DEFINITELY necessary is if you have a G9. With that being said, I love my LX, it looks really premium & I love how it extends real far. Can’t go wrong with this, but not everybody needs this

Works well. Fit my Samsung monitor perfectly. Did buy an extension (elsewhere) to place it higher. So that's available. Installation was alright. No issues with the item regarding install. Give yourself room should your desk be up against a wall. :-/

Very happy with the two I purchased. I plan on ordering a 3rd. They are expensive but I definitely feel like it’s worth the extra money. They are extremely simple to set up and even easier to adjust tension. Mine are holding up two 32” monitors with ease. The desk footprint is a bit larger than others I have used but they definitely feel more sturdy with the extra contact area to desk. The white and grey match my pc and monitor. I think they are much better looking than black ones. My only complaint would be that when fully raised the center of the monitor is not exactly the center of pole. It’s offset by 3/4” when pushed all the way back. That could be because of the geometry of my monitor and no fault of the stand. My monitor is pretty wide Front to back so it may line up with a slimmer model.

Io ne ho comprato uno "usato come nuovo" ed è esattamente come descritto, tanto che le buste con la minuteria e le chiavi a brugola erano ancora sigillate, solo la scatola mostrave segni di essere stata aperta. È un supporto per monitor molto valido, robusto e stabilissimo. Il morsetto in acciaio è molto robusto e sicuramente durerà una vita, così come sembra molto solido il braccio. Gli snodi sono stabili con molle di grandi dimensioni e possono essere bloccat i con dei grani filettati, se dovesse essere necessario bloccarli in modo che non possano ruotare. Le istruzioni di montaggio sono piuttosto scarne (qualche foglio con cucitura a punto metallico non può essere definito propriamente un manuale) e questo rende il montaggio un po' macchinoso, dovendo procedere a tentativi, quindi meglio cercare il video sul sito del produttore. Si adatta a qualsiasi scrivania, visto che l'apertura massima del morsetto arriva a 60 mm. A questo proposito voglio segnalare che è opportuno dotarsi di un paio di cuscinetti in gomma o feltro da frapporre tra il morsetto e la scrivania per non rischiare di rovinarla; visto il prezzo mi sarei aspettato che le superfici di contatto fossero gommate, ma non lo sono e soprattutto la piastra inferiore in metallo nudo è pericolosa per le superifici. La mobilità del braccio è eccezionale, avendo diversi gradi di libertà, ma dà il massimo di flessibilità solo se la scrivania non è addossata al muro, altrimenti si perde la possibilità di spingere indietro il braccio e si è costretti a montare il supporto in maniera decentrata, come è successo a me. Si tratta comunque di un problema minore, ma che costringe comunque a un compromesso. Io l'ho usato per una tavoletta grafica Huion 24 pro, in modo da poterla usre come monitor quando non devo disegnare, mentre durante il disegno la posso avvicinare, spingere in basso e mettere quasi in orizzontale sul piano della scrivania. In conclusione un ottimo acquisto, un supporto forse un po' costoso, ma sicuramente ben costruito e che mi dà quello che il supporto originale Huion non dà, la possibilità di mettere la tavoletta in verticale a una altezza adatta per essere utilizzata come monitor e una grande libertà di moviemento.

Parts fit together precisely and there is no exessive wobbling or loose-fitting connections. Paint and finishing quality is superb, all edges are smooth and almost everything is metal and the few plastic parts also feel very robust instead of something that cracks or scratches if you look at it wrong. Easy to install and operate. I am using a 32" screen at the moment so it isn't really putting the stand on any kind of strain but it feels like it could easily handle at least three times the weight. The only complaint is that the cable channel and its cover on the lover arm are a bit tight if you have multiple cables, and especially if you have some higher quality ones that are twice the thickness of basic cables. In addition to a thin power cable from an external psu I have one braided DisplayPort cable and a thicker mid level HDMI cable, and they just fit in there. Adding something like a USB and/or a full sized power cable (for an integrated hub/psu) might be very tight. But this is a very minor issue and probably will not affect most users. Plus you do not have to use the channel. It is rare to see these integrated channels have a whole lot of space and this is certainly one of the roomier ones I've seen. The upper arm has a couple of "hooks" when you can zip/velcrotie you cables and this approach actually works very well while it may not be to the liking of everyone since the cables are visible. I've had two Ergotron stands previously and this is very familiar quality. Those I sold after using them for many years and they were still pretty much like new although those weren't spring loaded. I am sure that this is also good investment for years to come and I have no doubt that the spring will last for a long time. I almost got a cheaper 'noname' branded stand first but then decided to invest a bit more and I have no regrets for doing so.
