What is the size range of the pieces of gravel? This is standard crushed granite, not decomposed granite right?

It is crushed. The size of each grain is well defined but the size not pea size each grain is the size of small earring stud (2 mm). It is perfect for my potted plants.

I have clay soil in an existing perennial garden. I need to mix crushed granite into the soil to loosen it up for better drainage. Will this work?

Hello, For Clay soil I would not recommend it. It will make the clay harder. Clay is a good component for a healthy soil composition. I recommend gypsum and a good quality organic compost. Or a mix with perlite and vermiculite. We carry these products as well.

Is this graded? Or is there crushed fine bits included?

Quick 1/8" sieve from bottom of the box (where finer grains would have collected). Amazon's video upload quality is still in the -- stone -- age, but the sieve produces very few fines. Mostly dust. Overall, I'm a pretty satisfied buyer considering I could not find a local source.

How many lbs are needed to cover 300 square feet
