The lounge scratcher I bought previously had the ends closed. The photos show both open and closed ends. Which is it?

On the one I have; -Both. The ends on mine are removable.

Does not include the sides?? Can I get them separately?

You get everything you see in the photo - 2 "pads" and the box they fit in. Cat not included :)

Can you buy the refills for the bottom?

Yes. You can order them on Amazon or buy the refills at Pet Smart or Petco. I love this as my cat is large and he can lay down on this.
