RovyVon A8 4th Gen Keychain Flashlight,650 Lumens USB-C Rechargeable Light

Just ordered my third one of these, and almost positive I rated and reviewed it after the first one. Guess I like it still, huh? Amazon just asked me to review it, so here we are. Tiny, but great features. USB-C recharging. I distinctly remember writing in my original review that the main white light has four brightness levels. 1. I am trying not to wake anybody but trying to read my book. 2. I dropped my empty coffee mug while driving at night and need to see the floorboard for a second. 3. Normal flashlight for walking in the dark. 4. "My word! What is the sun doing up at this hour?" Really, that last setting scares me. What sold me on it was two necessities and one toy: - I require a flashlight with a red light, to preserve my night vision. - I needed a light that can serve as a lamp (hanging it in the lantern mode from the loop at the top of my tent, for example) - The toy of having a UV light "black light" has been fun. All three of those are served by selecting a setting on the side light. It is also magnetic, and sticks securely to ferrous metals. Has a pocket clip, and a place to attach a wrist or neck-strap. I can hang it in lantern mode using red or soft white light. Small enough to work as a keychain. Also has flashing modes for signaling. Battery last along time, and I use mine daily. That USB-C charging port is the best, and it is quick. Why am I buying my third? My oldest one is years old, daily use, and showing no signs of age or wear. I bought one for my brother as a stocking stuffer last Christmas. I wanted one to keep permanently in my camping gear, so I do not have to take my Every Day Carry one. My favorite flashlight. Pretty sure one was originally carried by James Bond when Q insisted it would save his life.

The 650 lumens is BRIGHT - way more than you'd expect from something this compact. I've used it to find my keys under the car seat, navigate power outages, and even as emergency lighting when camping. The multiple lighting options (UV, red, and white sidelights) make it versatile for different situations. What I like most is the USB-C charging. No more proprietary cables or hunting for batteries! The magnetic tail base is another thoughtful touch for hands-free use. Overall, absolutely worth the money for a quality EDC flashlight that packs this much functionality into such a tiny package. Perfect for keychain carry without the bulk!

This is a fantastic little light for EDC (every day carry). I find myself using it a lot more than i thought i would. I always have lights in my bag, in my car, in my desk, etc., and I have tried many pocket lights and have continued looking for a good pocket light for a while. I am an engineer, and often find myself inside dark control panels and machines, its brighter than lights several times its size, and perfect run time and power to its size. I use the tail cap magnet often, and the side lights come in really handy in many situations where you need a wide are lit up hands free. I have been so impressed with this light that I bought an A28 and an A5, as well as bought several of my friends A5's for Christmas. I carried mine nearly everyday with light use for about 8 months and one day out of nowhere it had zero out put and would not take a charge. The light was completely dead. I emailed RovyVon customer service with a short video of the light not working and my amazon proof of purchase and they very quickly sent me a new replacement light. This thing is incredible ! So bright for its size, a nice pocket and hat clip, the magnets are super convenient features and number of function is fun . Takes a minute to get the hang of how to navigate through all the setting , but well worth it I hope not to lose this one .

I purchased two Rovyon flashing on an Amazon Black Friday deal so I got a great price. It’s was a Christmas present for myself and started using it months after my purchase. With a slight learning curve I was ready to go. I started using this as my go to everyday light as I’m commonly in areas with no or little light and a phone light will not do. It’s a great light, light weight and small light with an intense light beam with the easy press of the button. The light intensity can be changed/ lowered with press of the button. If you want to change the preset, Leave the light on at the desired light level for a bit and shut it off. The battery lasts me a few days with moderate use and only once after intense use did have to charge it while out for the day. After a few months of daily usage and carry (EDC) I noticed a small piece of plastic in my pocket. Not knowing what it was I examined my Rovyon light and notice that it was cracked, still working but still cracked. I wasn’t too happy and in fact disappointed as I’m not certain how it cracked , would expect a more durable light as it’s not cheap. I contacted the seller and explained the situation. I expected a long drawn out process, blaming me of abusing the light and a final rejection. However, a couple of emails back and forth with photos, they told me a new light was on the way. Rovyon, stood behind their light. They first sold me on a great product, and they won me over with their commitment to standing behind their light and have me raving about it as the replacement was free. I’m a very happy consumer.

I love this little guy! Perfect for travel or every day carry. It’s so small, I can see how it could get lost or dropped easily. I plan on attaching a small loop of Atwood micro cord or similar just to wrap around my wrist when using it because of that. The clip is pretty sturdy and has a good magnet on it. The instructions for attaching the tail magnet were unclear. At first, I thought you had to take the existing tail loop off, but no you just snap the magnet on. Maybe that’s just me being stupid… Not sure that this will survive the drop a solid metal flashlight would, but the clear case looks really sharp and you get the benefits of having the side lights, which is a huge bonus. I got the version with UV, red LED and soft white LED, which I think is perfect. I made the mistake of turning the UV on at home, and I think we need new carpet.

Very satisfied with my purchase. It is small (that's what she said), so it's perfect to use as a keychain, and I have it all the time with me. Powerful for its size too (he).

This is a brilliant little torch, which I thoroughly recommend. I carry it regularly and find that I'm using it more and more all the time.

I haven’t had this torch long enough to comment realistically on its durability or long-term prospects, but what I can say is that it seems to defy laws of physics in its performance. For such a tiny torch it has really incredible illumination and the versatility of both the different levels of white light and the red light in particular are excellent. I have been using it on a trip abroad where we have stayed in some rural locations and it has proved invaluable for moving around outside in the dark, rummaging around in an expedition holdall and those get ups for the bathroom in the middle of the night. On the basis of its performance I can only say it is highly recommended, despite what seems like quite a high purchase price. I guess you are paying for high-tech and the resulting performance. It certainly seems well built and the magnetic clip and tail magnet add to its usability. I have put a small Victoninox lanyard on mine to make it easier to grab and to avoid drops.

It works good and is bright.
