Darn Tough, Light Hiker (Style #1990), Merino Wool, No Show, Lightweight, Men’s Cushioned Hiking Socks

Socks are good fit, soft and padded in all the right places. Very comfortable when walking do not move about or ridge up. Best socks I have ever tried and also seems to control odours , not cheap but worth every penny .

Bought from this brand over the winter and they are extremely hard wearing and good quality. I can be very hard on my socks and usually have holes in the ball of my foot and throw away a pair or two a week but these just keep giving. Very happy customer.

Socks came with a hole - not so darn tough after all :-(. I've had other socks from them which were great. Sent feedback direct to the company to give them a chance to address the issue but nothing - disappointing customer service from a company selling premium products.

They are excellent, they don't hold a smell no matter what you do due to the high content of merino wool and they are very fast at drying after washing.The short format also makes it more pleasurable to use during summer than the long ones of the same company.

I bought two pairs of these socks for a 3 week journey across SE Asia in temperatures ranging from 25C to 38C, and humidity from 40% to 99% - I feel a bit funny admitting that I wore these daily. A quick soapy hand wash at night and they were dry in the morning, fluffy and ready for another day. These are outstanding socks.. ideal for 20K+ step days across all sorts of urban terrain in warm weather. Was a bit skeptical at $30 for a pair, but after surviving and thriving in my field tests, I can say with confidence that these socks are about as rad as socks get. Light cushion but great feel. Feet were never too hot with these on, so just the right amount of thickness and padding.

I never knew how bad my Hanes cotton socks were until I tried on a pair of these. The difference between them is dramatic! These are the most comfortable socks I've ever worn! I wear a size 14 wide in shoes and I ordered the large size. I had previously made the mistake of ordering an XL pair of the boot socks. I didn't make that mistake this time, and they fit so much better. I never thought I'd spend $160 on socks, but I'll never have to buy socks again with the lifetime warranty, and they make such a difference in how my feet feel every day that it was totally worth it! Get yourself some, you won't regret it.So I've had these for a few weeks. Here's what I've learned. It's important that you read the instructions on how to wash them. You need to turn them inside out and do not use fabric softener. I wash mine by themselves on delicate, then hang dry them. If you want to put them in the dryer make sure it's on low. My feet do sweat a little bit in them occasionally, but it's not bad. If you have sweaty feet, you might want to check out the ultra light. The one thing that is annoying is that the fibers lock in every piece of lint. It drives me nuts to have socks with lint all over, so I use a piece of duct tape to get it off before washing. I guess I'm just OCD about it. If I could go back, I'd order the taupe color instead of black. The lint doesn't show up as much on the taupe. That color is sold out everywhere except the other major auction site. I don't know if I can say it's name, but it starts with an E. These socks do start piling after a couple washes, but so far it's not bad. The large are a bit tight on my size 14 feet, but the XL has too much material at the heel. I think my feet stretched them a bit because my brand new socks are much tighter. I just bought two more pairs of the taupe ones, so I definitely still recommend these!

Elles sont garanties à vie.Et allez sur le site darntough.eu pour les renvoyer quand elles seront usées !!! c’est juste pour dire que ces chaussettes sont quasiment indestructibles.Je suis accroc aux Darn Tough depuis une dizaine d’années et je peux vous dire que aucune de mes chaussettes Darn Tough n’a eu de trous, bien que certains endroits commencent à être très mincesLes chaussettes destinées au randonneurs sont avec des renforts , plus epais aux endroits stratégiques.Elles collent bien au pied, pas besoin de les remonter sans cesse ( ma femme reproche qu’elles serrent trop, mais je ne me plains pas) .Si vous cherchez de bonnes chaussettes, confortables alors essayez Darn Tough.Elles sont plus chères, mais c’est à vie !
