Mario Party Superstars (Nintendo Switch)

Been playing this with my brothers and a friend recently, and it’s honestly some of the most fun I’ve had on the Switch in a while. The mini-games are easy to pick up, but once everyone starts trying to win, it gets very competitive very quickly. I like that the game mixes classic Mario Party boards and mini-games, so it feels nostalgic while still being fun for people who haven’t played the older games before. There’s a good variety too, so sessions don’t get repetitive too fast. The controls are straightforward, which makes it easy for everyone to join in without needing loads of practice. Some matches ended up way more intense than expected, especially near the end when stars start changing hands. The downside is that some games rely a bit too much on luck, which can be frustrating if you’re playing seriously. Matches can also take quite a while depending on the settings you choose. Overall, a really fun multiplayer game that’s perfect for family or friends, especially if you enjoy a bit of friendly competition and chaos.

Another amazing entry into possibly the most addictive series ever, family sessions of Mario Party can either be the most fun or most stressful if someone steals your star ever, and for such a cheap price, the 100s of hours you'll get with your family out of this game is worth it all.

Kids love it one of the family faves

As long-time fans with copies of every Mario Party game from the GameCube onwards (and with my girlfriend being a true Mario Party expert, having sunk hundreds of hours into this one!), we can confidently say that Mario Party Superstars is our preferred entry on the Nintendo Switch. I've played this with friends, my partner, and her family and had a great time every time. While it may not boast much in the way of original content – largely featuring remastered boards and minigames from past titles – what it does do, it does exceptionally well. The board selection is strong, the gameplay mechanics are refined, and the minigames are a blast. That said, the main caveat is the limited variation in boards, with only five available. After extensive play, this can lead to some repetition. For us, this means we often mix up which Mario Party game we play to keep things fresh.

Da ich ja mich damals bei gamecube unheimlich in diese Spielweise verliebt habe und trotzdem einige nicht so gute dabei waren finde ich dieses Spiel echt genial, man kann auch verschiedene lieblingsspieöe aus den verschiedenen Serien (auch gamecube) aussuchen und das Spiel wir so aufgebaut. Ich habe jedenfalls den Kauf dieses Spiels nicht bereut. Selbst mein freund der zwar Mario mag sich aber schwer von neuem überzeugen lässt hatte Spaß dabei und das heißt für mich schon viel. Ich wprde es jederzeit wieder kaufen
