Best Pan For Sourdough!
This is the best pan that I used for sourdough. I wish that I had bought this in the beginning! It is the perfect size, weight, non-stick pan. Bread pops out after baking. I didnโt need all the extra lifts, parchment, or anything else like I use for my round bread! The weight is perfect as I am in my seventies and it was easy to handle., All you do is rinse it out, dry thoroughly and coat it w oil. Then drop your dough in! I baked it with a steam pan in my oven and itโs the best loaf Iโve ever baked! DO NOT USE SOAP on these pans. There should be at least 10 stars for this pan! Love Lodge!

Perfect Loaf Pan
I recently got this loaf pan and itโs quickly become my go-to for baking bread, meatloaf, and even some sweet loaf cakes. This pan is heavy-duty and pre-seasoned, so it heats evenly and gives that nice crust you want on homemade loaves, and I haven't been using it for that long, but it seems like it will hold up over time. The shape is great, and the dual handles make it easy to get in and out of the oven, considering how heavy it is. The only issue I've had is that cleaning in the corners can be a bit of a hassleโespecially if you donโt use parchment or soak it right after baking. Even if you don't use parchment it has a non-stick layer so its easy to release the bread. Overall, itโs a cheap, but good quality version of a classic piece of cookware thatโs great if you like homemade breads and want a durable, versatile pan.

Heavy but easy
I've only used it once but so far so good! When I got it I did wash/rinse it out. Then dried it, heated them to get moisture out, then used some avocado oil to season it a bit. They do come pre-seasoned but for sanitary reasons I'll always wash out a dish before using it. I wanted a softer crust so I used one on top of another and only let it brown for a few minutes. The bread popped right out! I do wish they'd create a lid for these, because it is bulky trying to put one on top of another but overall my family went crazy over the bread and it was very nonstick. My concern over time is obviously rusting but I overall like lodge products a lot in general. I love that they're made in the USA. They're high quality, easy to use if you know how to use cast iron, they bake well, eventually they'll be seasoned to my liking as well which makes everything taste even better! My only concern is how little verstile they are but I'm going to see how they do with banana bread! Oh, they are very heavy though.

love
First not all cast iron is the same , I have only found great results with Lodge brand , I have other items from lodge from a dutch oven , frying pans . even pots and a garlic roaster , etc to name a few I use just about every day . I was hesitant about preseason since I prefer to season them myself . But I have another item from lodge that was seasoned already & had no issues , I needed new loaf pans since my other ones are pryrex and they are old but still awesome but with that whole recall with older pryrex it gave me an excuse to buy the lodge loaf pans , I washed & dried in the oven than applied coconut oil than cooled & put away . My first thing I made in the pans was meat loaves with venison which is very lean hardly no fat with every cast iron I preheat the pans prior to placing my food in , so with that it takes 10 minutes for my oven to heat up so about halfway there I but the loaf pans in the oven empty & removed them and use a piece of paper towel with a dab of coconut oil & oiled the whole inside than put my prepared meat loaf in them & baked until done , they were awesome , awesome crust on the sides & so moist . Easy clean up & did the coconut oil again after washing & drying in oven . I also made zucchini bread in them but they were a little too small for the bread so I used one of my pryex pans , and the zucchini bread was awesome, browned awesome & very moist . Now I'm planning on getting two of the bigger sizes .

Great product, great cast-iron loaf pan
I purchased two of these to be used as a bread baker with a lid. Great value for money, heavy weight, easy to use and a great size. perfect loaf pan. It is cast-iron so you must treat it as cast-iron and preseason it, there is no coating on the inside! My family all loves this brand for cast iron products!

Quality item from Lodge ready to bake in.
Very pleased with my Lodge cast Iron bread loaf pans I ordered 2. This pan makes a 1-1.5 Lbs. (450g-680g) loaf of bread. It is ideal for quick breads, small sourdough loaves, or meatloaf, with a capacity of roughly 6 cups. I use them to make Ezekiel bread from freshly milled flower. Clean like you do any other cast iron cook ware. These pans are much heavier then aluminum pans so keep that in mind. I believe you can purchase lids for them separately so would be good for camping. For the money your getting a quality ready to use item no seasoning needed. You will gift these to your great grand children.

Paper shipping envelope
The cast iron loaf pan is nice. What isnโt nice is that someone at the Amazon fulfillment center put a HEAVY cast iron pan into a thin brown shipping envelope along with other very small items. The envelope was literally torn in half when it was delivered. Do better Amazon. Surely someone should have stopped to think about putting a very heavy metal object into a paper shipping envelope.

It's Lodge Cast Iron!
Lodge Cast Iron is dependable! Have many pieces from the 60s (they were my parents). They are well seasoned and easy to take care of, thou they are heavy. But, you can use them on the range, back yard BBQ, camp stove and over a camp fire. I purchased this 2 loaf pan set for my son, who bakes sourdough. He was getting tired of the ball (boule) shape. He used the 2nd pan as the lid and the sourdough loaf came out great! Next purchase will be the muffin pan.

Hob safe
Bought to make Yorkshire pudding. Made of heavy cast iron these can be heated on the hob until the fat is bubbling and batter added then transferred to a hot oven.
