​I share my home with a Shih Tzu who operates under the unshakeable, terrifying delusion that she is a reigning monarch. She is a tiny, dictatorial empress who blatantly owns the property, and she is pickier than a billionaire art critic at a village car boot sale. If you attempt to serve her standard, run-of-the-mill dog food, she turns her tiny, squashed nose up at it with a look of pure, unadulterated disdain—exactly like a queen being offered a slice of heavily mouldy cheese on a piece of stale bread by a filthy peasant. ​To make matters infinitely worse, she suffers from the classic Shih Tzu curse: a digestive system that is about as structurally robust as a damp paper bag. If she eats the wrong thing, her delicate stomach immediately stages a violent, catastrophic protest. Finding a food that meets her impossible culinary standards whilst simultaneously avoiding a biological emergency in the living room is honestly like trying to negotiate world peace using only interpretive dance. ​Enter this Harringtons grain-free bumper pack. Miraculously, she absolutely loves it. The sheer variety of chicken, lamb, beef, and turkey keeps her fully entertained, it doesn't bother her impossibly fragile tummy for a single second, and crucially, it doesn't require me to sell a major internal organ to afford it. It is superb value for money and keeps perfectly well in the cupboard for ages. ​However, there are two cataclysmic, apocalyptic flaws with the logistics of this product. Firstly, trying to buy it is a complete lottery because it goes out of stock with infuriating regularity. This forces me into a frantic, desperate scramble across the internet to source her royal rations elsewhere before she initiates a noisy, house-wide hunger strike. ​Secondly, and far more horrifyingly, the packaging is entirely unpredictable. Occasionally, the flimsy film seal on one of the plastic trays simply gives up the ghost during transit. This results in highly concentrated, deeply offensive 'dog food juice' leaking all over the inside of the cardboard delivery box. I was once handed a parcel so utterly sodden, rank, and festering that it had attracted a swarm of flies so genuinely biblical in scale, you'd be forgiven for thinking Moses himself had just stood on my driveway, raised his staff, and commanded a plague of locusts to descend upon my porch. ​Aside from the occasional risk of receiving a biohazardous box of rotting meat water and the spotty stock levels, the food itself is an absolute triumph. It keeps my dictatorial fluffball happy, content, and thoroughly fed. I highly recommend it—just be absolutely certain to deploy your nose like a police bloodhound before you slice open the delivery box.

The dogs love them, I buy as a flavour topper to their kibble so one tray gets cut into 8 cubes and two dogs get a cube every feed. One box will last a month and I have it on subscription so even more saving than in the stores. I have noticed that some trays have quite a bit of jelly parcels in them. There's sometimes a good cm around one edge that's just jelly. Or there's an air hole of about a cm diameter that's just jelly. If you are weight measuring a careful diet you might find some discrepancies with these but fit my review no loss of a star as it doesn't effect me. Worthy of a comment I think. My dogs love this and I love the variation in flavor. For one of my girls who is such a fussy eater she had become eager for dinner. I have one dog was on a weight gain diet (underweight rescue a year ago) and the other has become a weight loss diet and both are doing well. They've both been on this combined with pets at homes own step up grain free for a year now.

Really good dog food. My dog is a large malamute and he loves this food. It’s a good brand and we will always stick to this for him now

Been using this for around 6 months now and my dogs runny poops have disappeared. He absolutely loves it and is really gentle on his tummy.
