This is the second replacement pilot assembly I have purchased through Amazon / Real Fyre in year. The original lasted 6 years - these last two both lasted 6 months. As a previous review has noted, the copper tubing in these new models is quite flimsy and eventually stops supplying ample gas to keep the pilot lit.For the first few months it works great - but it first starts blowing out and then finally won't relight. This is my 3rd purchase of this product in 14 months.

The item was shipped and received very quickly which was a nice unexpected event as it was not part of prime delivery. The item was as described. However, the tubing for the natural gas line was smaller in diameter, and less substantial than the existing gas line which was heavy copper. Additionally, the assembly connecting the thermocouple and gas pilot was thin metal and not as substantial as the existing assembly. Because of this I chose to remove the thermocouple from the new assembly and attach it to the old assembly and old pilot and pilot tubing. The gas log fireplace is again working and I am pleased. Though the item purchased was as described, the quality does not compare to that which was originally installed in 1984. This may be the case regardless of who is manufacturing items today.

Arrived next day and worked perfectly.
