Good rod!
Husband of account, Ww2 modeler, "nerd". Bought these to act as the whip section to a m5a1 stuart scr-508 radio. Size matters. And these? Caliper measurement: 1.5mm done in 6 spots along rod. Tape measurement: a hair over 400mm Magnet test: highly depressed magnetic pull, as to be expected from rolled 304 stainless. Cut finish is clean smooth and de-burred. Rod is smooth finish and has reflective properties to be expected from a stainless. Slight canting as to be expected from rolling process. Good stuff!

These rods were stainless, 2.5mm by 350mm, and straight. Can't ask for much more than that! Pretty stiff but still able to be shaped with needle-nose pliers. Will purchase again as required.

Problematic
The rods have scratches and even after cleaning them with soap and vinegar the oxidation comes back and will leave a black mark upon touch. They are not stainless steel at the core.

2 foot stainless steel rods I purchased them for a reason they will not work for so I think I will use them to make toys for my lovebirds can bend them into shapes and and string on wooden and cardboard shapes colored in bird freindly dye and the birds can chomp them right down to the stainless and once used up can use the rod over and over again.

Shafts are a touch bigger than the 2 mm advertised
I had to sand down the shafts to make them slide into the 2mm id bearings I had for them
